Thanks for your prompt response. Well, we already planned our Christian wedding for June this year because most of my wife's family members were unable to attend our marriage back home in Nigeria and plans are already in advance stages. Don't know if that's a good enough reason.

I'm sorry, but from what I've seen (and the people that have tried before) that is not considered a good enough reason. Pregnancy and even certain financial struggles aren't good enough either.  My husband suffers from severe anxiety, and we decided not to try for an expedite considering I'm from a high fraud country and they tend to be tougher, which is your case as well. They always say to not book plane tickets or events in advance, since delays can happen.

This doesn't mean you shouldn't try, by all means, do, but be prepared for a possible denial.

Your attorney dropped the ball on this one not NVC.  And unfortunately your wedding plans is not a detrimental emergency reason for an expedite, but hey maybe luck is on your side and they'll grant got to you. You will have to be proactive at NVC stage and call often to check on your case status to prevent things like this from happening to you again

No I didn't. Everything has been going pretty smoothly from the onset and I choose to let things play by itself with optimism.. Well, I guess the process is never straight as envisaged.

Hi everyone.

I am so happy this forum exists!  I decided to create an account after quietly reading all of the support and anguishes shared;  it's wonderful to be able to discuss with people in this similar situation.  That being said, I hope for speedy CCs for everyone, and no RFE/Checklists.

NVC Received my AOS and Documents on1/25/2017.  Wife is in Giza, Egypt.  I am in Colorado.

Interview Scheduled..

My CC was on feb 2 (discovered via calling at NVC). Never received any letter/email. Called them today to ask for not receiving any CC confirmation in writing and was informed that Interview is scheduled already for March 14.

I haven't received any email/letter yet for that nor did NVC online visa status mention that.

Wow that is strange.  Makes me think we should all call each and every day.  Nonetheless, Congrats on getting your CC!  Interview is so close, you might reunite with your spouse late next month?

Oh sorry yes that’s what I meant. Electronic processing only.

Our case is CEAC too and it’s been over four weeks for us. This may be a CEAC related problem then? I am only hypothesizing...sigh.

Sigh indeed...they put a "note to a supervisor" attached to my case since I'm outside of normal time to get a case number. I'm hoping by the end of the week...but now with the system problems, I don't know.
