Yes ! , definitely before you make appointment ,  confirm with them ,  better be safe then sorry lol  ,  

let me know too what they say  as well since my wife's Interview might be in like April or may , hoping i get CC fast

So I just got the news from rep at NVC this morning about my interview scheduling in March at Mumbai consulate. She said I should be getting an e-mail in about a week time. Do we have to wait to get an e-mail before we can schedule for bio metrics and medical or can we schedule right now?

Bio-Metrics you can go ahead! Medical you will need the confirmation Email.

Just got off the phone with rep from Mumbai consulate. Apparently the customer service department works 24x7 Mon-Fri. 

He confirmed that Bio-Metrics and Medical can be done at any consulate in India and doesn't have to be the same location as your immigrant visa interview.

At first he thought I am trying to change the interview location which is not possible, but I later clarified that I was referring to just bio-metrics and medical.

One more thing he had mentioned twice is to come to the consulate exactly at the scheduled time as there is no place to wait around.

 

He is very helpful and responsive. 5 Stars!

Sorry for all the questions but when you fill your information out on the above website it asks for mailing address do we put our actual mailing address here, does this mean our passport will be delivered to this address after visa is granted? Or do we have option of picking up our passport?

Indian mailing address. You get the choice for home delivery or pickup in several cities in India. If you chose home delivery, the address mentioned here will be used to deliver your passport and other documents.

Hello Guys,

I know you got your answers. You can schedule  your biometrics and medical in other consulates and approved medical offices to do your medical. Since my wife have to travel to Mumbai, we schedule her medical and biometric in mumbai and she is going one week there.

You can do home delivery or pickup. Pickup is free and i think home delivery there is RS.500 charge
