Request for new medical

Timeline

I had my interview at islamabad embassy in Dec 2015 for F2A visa.today embassy asked for new medical.

Plz help me what does it mean?and what should i do?

Sounds like your medical expired.....I would just get a new medical.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My medical was expired on 30th sep 2017.the ceca status show Refused.i was on AP before.they also  asked for joint sponsorship update too.plz tell me what does it mean.why they asked new medical now.is this good sign?

1.  Your medical exam has expired.  You Need a new one.

2. Your visa status shows "Refused" because you are lacking a current medicl.

3.  They are processing your visa

 

Yes, it is a good sign.  The process is advancing...

It depends on the procedure prescribed by your consulate.  I would email them and ask.
