Hi VJ Family!

It has been a while since I have been on this forum. My wife is a UK Citizen and we processed via K1 visa. We have been married for over 5 years now and she does hold a US Permanent Resident Green Card. I am trying to get back into the swing of things here and need a jump start. We have bought our own place about 2 years ago but we have not updated her ID Card or Green Card with the new address. Question is, how difficult is it to have the address changed? Are there fees involved? Lengthy Process? And most importantly do we need to update her address for when we start her Naturalization process?

Also after how many years can my wife apply for Naturalization?

Thanks!

The greencard does not have an address on it so no need for a new card. USCIS does require her to keep them informed of her address. And they require you, the sponsor on the I-864 affidavit of support , to keep them informed if you move.

Her https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11  (within 10 days of move)

You https://www.uscis.gov/i-865 (within 30 days of move)

Citizenship eligibility:

Look at the date on her green card. Resident since ??????

Three years from that date.

There is no fee.  Simple online form filled out and the information is submitted to USCIS immediately.
