Hi All,

We're June 2017 filers. Both my fiance and I were expecting to receive our appointment letter (NOA2) this Jan 2018 or sooner but instead we had a setback and CSC requested for additional reqs which they just received today.

My question are 1. What's the timeline for us to receive the letter of appoinment (physical exam & interview)? It's been 8 months now of waiting... When I checked the status, they just said, we will work your case "again" upon receiving the addl reqs they asked from my fiance.

2. Once we received NOA-2 or the letter of appointment, is there a separate timeline processing for my son as I will be including him in the petition (K-2).

As you didn't have a timeline I don't know when your noa1 was.

However as they sent you an rfe, and they just received it, it means they are working on your case but they needed additional things so it is normal to take time, they usually answer in a few weeks, the longest is up to 60 days.

1) so 2-3 weeks to 60 days for approval (But I believe they would approve within the month.) then it will reach to NVC and that takes about 2-3 weeks to send it to the embassy. medical exam and interview comes after that depending on your country it changes. but you didn't put your country either so I can't say anything.

2) no. but your son will also need a medical and interview, and all the rest of the process for the visa.

Hi Naes,

Thank you so much for your reply. To add more info - my fiance received our NOA1 last 7 June 2017.

I'm from Philippines.

I'm worried as I already trained my replacement at work (employer already asked for update) and we are expecting within this first quarter it will be completed. I'm just worried I won't have work if it takes longer and might need to do a back-up plan.

Appreciate so much your help :)

God bless to you.

For rfe responses they state it takes up to 60 days so that normally should be the worst case scenario.

i believe you'll get it in a few more weeks.
