Hello again...

My interview will be on Tuesday (Feb. 6). I got my NBI Clearance under my maiden name with an AKA my married name. Will that be accepted?  Or do I need to get one under my married name AKA my maiden name?

Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name, married name, and any aliases or nicknames ever used, including different spellings of all names ever used.

You'll be fine if you followed the above and your form says something like NO RECORD ON FILE or NO DEROGATORY RECORD then have nothing to worry about.

Good luck.

You have both names on the NBI... all should be fine in that regard.

POLICE REPORT: Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record” or "No pending case”. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

I went to my interview yesterday morning and my NBI clearance was accepted. I checked the CEAC website in the afternoon and it says ISSUED 😃. Thank you for addressing our concerns.

I have a question about the CFO sticker. Is the CFO sticker given at the airport available for everyone? Or is it only for those who are leaving so soon from the issuance of visa?

You can get the CFO sticker at NAIA, but you must call 3 days in advance so they have it ready.      Safe Travels!

CFO - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Office

CFO NAIA: 632-879-5685 or 02-879-5685  (Offices are open from 5am - midnight)

  • CFO NAIA desk is at terminal one.. beside TIEZA travel tax desk.. between the entrance doors with the x-ray / conveyor machines..
  • CFO counter is next to the travel tax counter in terminal 2, up front of the departure area
  • CFO sticker at Terminal 3 on the 3rd Floor at the CFO office
