Hey guys, I just need some question about part of filling out file 130, one part there about address at which you physically lived together. If you never lived together, type or print, “never lived together”  in item 59.a

My question about this part is, when he was here in Philippines we lived in the same house for almost 4 months. He was here from Nov. 2, 2016- February 26, 2017! Is that considered even it’s only for few months?

Anyone who can give me some advice pls?

Visiting is not living.

In this case you would put have not lived together.

Which is perfectly okay for a new marriage when one partner lives overseas.

Yes, a four month visit to the Philippines had him going to the Bureau of immigration at least three times to get visa extensions, where he would list his "address" each time.  I'm sure your Barangay Captain knew who he was and where he lived.  I would list that as living together.  If it was less than a 30 day visit, I would not.

I assume we lived together since it's not a short time visit. We went to Bureau of Immigration and he got his alien card too. It's why I thought i'll ask some advice and from the way it looks like I should put that "we lived together" Thank you! :)

Thank you for your response. My husband thought the same thing that's why I decided to post this question since it confuse us but I do think I consider it as we lived together.

While it's perfectly OK, in this circumstance it is proper and also OK to indicate they lived together for four months, since he will have made at least three visits to the Philippine Bureau of Immigration to extend his visa.  I see now he also got his ACR card.  A US Citizen can extend their visitor status for up to three years without needing to leave (for as little as a few hours) and reset a new three years.  That's not "visiting".  I "live" in the Philippines and signed a lease, have internet and TV cable in my name etc.  I don't have an address anywhere else in the world.  I can even file DCF if I were married and bringing a Filipina spouse to the US.

Circumstances due to country obviously changes things.  Had it been in the opposite direction...  learn something new.  I have never been there myself.

My husband stayed in Canada for several months with me but we wouldn't say we lived together.

More things can be country specific than most suspect.  Even me. ^_^
