We received this email

Since you now reside in Great Britain, your electronic file has been forwarded to London. You will be contacted by our colleagues at the U.S. Embassy London directly.

Sincerely,

Visa Unit

U.S. Embassy, Paris France

IM getting a little tired on constant waiting , as i know everyone is...

It sounds like your K1 visa has been sent to the London Embassy to complete the consulate process.

Any idea why the Paris, France Embassy would email you?

Yeah as I was living in paris the time of the filing so I just put down France and Paris . But I’ve been in the uk since August now and my noa2 came thru nov 22. And we did request a transfer but London never replied to us but Paris sent that message so maybe they over ruled our request and just sent it as I don’t live in France anymore and my passport is British not French etc. Just wondering if it’s gonna take weeks upon weeks of waiting again!

From what it sounds like your file has been sent to the UK Embassy to complete the process. If it's just an electronic file I am sure it will be quick.

Are you able to contact the UK Embassy to find out whether they have your file? What does the NVC say?

Oh

boy! Contacting the London embassy is like trying to draw blood from the queen! Impossible to get any reply from any email you send to them. It’s a real shame . Nvc said it’s out of their control. It’s mainly uscis and Nvc as we requested a embassy change in writing in AUGUST! They even signed for the letter and nothing happened . Uscis kept old address and Nvc didn’t change the consulate so it’s jisf floating around in space somewhere lol

When you call the NVC and ask them where your file is what do they tell you? Do they tell you it is in Paris? Sorry to hear London does not respond to inquiries. Have you considered doing a congressional inquiry through the spouse living in the US?

Maybe give it some time to see if your whole case makes it to London. It sounds like the electronic file is being sent over which sounds promising.

Well I hope so :-) I just don’t want to wait another 2 months after already waiting since may 2017 for all this to be over and proceed lol! It just adds pressure! I know for sure the actual postal system from paris - London takes a little over 3-5 days on the snail mail . As I lived there far too long and remember it well :-) I just hope it’s not lost or going to take forever ! Thanks for your Info

If things drag out you can always consider doing a Congressional inquiry. They will at least be able to give you a straight answer on your behalf. Waiting is the hardest part. But hopefully you are almost at the end!!

Contact either the state Senator or Congressperson from the House of Representatives in your spouse's riding. Usually they get your spouse to sign a disclosure which allows them to act on your behalf. Depending on the office it usually takes a week or two before they get back to you (sometimes you have to follow up). On their website they outline how to contact them and have the form to download and fill out to send back to them.

I had my K1 interview in London as well. If you live in the UK you have to go there. You can not go to the embassy in Paris if you no longer live in France.
Anyway, London embassy is fast! They will send you a letter saying what will happen from now on.
