ok I am wondering....what flags you to be either interviewed or sent to CSC without an interview?? I don't get it... I have been trying to find other people that are being interviewed but most of the people have been going to CSC then approved without an interview... ?????

ok I am wondering....what flags you to be either interviewed or sent to CSC without an interview?? I don't get it... I have been trying to find other people that are being interviewed but most of the people have been going to CSC then approved without an interview... ?????

I've heard all sorts of things when it comes to this. I've heard that a lot depends on the area you live in, and which local office your case would be handled by. I've heard that if your local office is backlogged you are more likely to get transferred. I've also heard that K-1s are more likely to be transferred. I really don't know and haven't a clue. We'll probably never know what separates one application from another. They sure aren't going to tell us.

It's mostly K1s that get transferred...since I'm adjusting from a different type of visa (f1) I was certain I would have an interview...and I was right...we will have our interview in 2 weeks.

I don't think what office and location is issue. Pittsburgh would be only like 40 minutes drive from here, and its not busy at all, there is hardly any person there when we go to infopass. While other people from PA would have to fly far and stay overnight because of interview. I thought so too, that it could have something to do with location to make things easier for the ones who live far, but it doesn't seem the case.

I think K-3s also get interviewed which to me is just wierd as we (well hubby in my case) get interview at the foreign consulate....

There are just so many factors to qualify for a CSC transfer or an interview, mostly depending on the training or discretion of the person/team reviewing our cases..

Personally, I think I got the interview because I sent additional evidences (a few photos, bank statements etc) --they need to verify and see the originals, and my marriage is new (I filed AOS a week after my wedding day)..

Ah I know this kind of reaction. I reacted with this suspect question - "and what did you mean with this, ha, grrrr?" all the time. In VJ or with people around, I got so emotional in all this waiting process.

Aww... you sound SO much happier than you did a couple of weeks ago (well, when I say 'sound', I mean 'your posts look so much happier') - I'm very glad you got approved so quickly, hopefully now things will get MUCH better now you can start feeling like a real person who actually exists here! :thumbs:
