@Bora-Bora, good luck on the infopass! Waiting sucks, no matter how short or long it is. We deserve a life outside this USCIS blackhole, and each one deserves to be happy & worry-free..

Thanks mysticbluerose. You're right....

I appreciate what you said.

I had also tasked how long should I wait before i do an infopass apointment and she said i should wait 30 more days because it takes 90. However I talked to my bro in florida and he said thats weird because they gave him one at the local office when he renewed his. I am lost with what he said but I guess its different everywhere.

Good luck Jashley...but that is not so bad.

We haven't had a touch since 5/31 and I know there is a potential problem w/ the EAD - but we didn't receive an RFE for either one. I doubt the AOS has a problem.

However,...if it makes you feel better.

We made an appt for next week due to the error on the EAD application.

Bora Bora,

I know you're frustrated with your lack of activity, and I hope and pray that you hear something soon. However, I think it's fair to say that this thread was created to offer support for everyone who filed in May, regardless of the current status of their case. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to vent my frustration. For the record, It does make me feel better.

I'll use discretion in my future posts to avoid offending you further.

Best of luck at your infopass- or better yet - I hope your EAD comes soon.

Jashley,

I'm sorry if I came off wrong. You're right - you have every right to vent. I just hope you don't have any problems with your case.

I asked about my case before and they said I had to wait.... sorry about the way I came off - on-line forums sometimes misrepresent us.

Good luck,

Bora Bora

Touched today and it's only 9am. I was checking out the california service center time lines and they are processing from december 06, it's the first time I checked since applying for AOS. I thought it would be backed up further than december for some reason.

I hope that everyone is doing well with this long stretchy wait, I haven't been able to catch up and read how everyone is doing, although I have been checking out the updates on Arazia's list.

All the best everyone

omg they are on fire, got touched again this morning :blush:

How exciting!! Keep the touches coming! :D

No touches here at all, sadly... nothing since the transfer on July 3rd - hoping for some evidence my file's arrived safely at CSC sometime soon! I've had a look at a load of people's signatures on the CSC transferees thread, and it seems like while some people get their 'pending at CSC' emails/status change within a few days of the transfer (or a couple of weeks at most), there are other people who have had a gap of MONTHS between their cases being transferred and being informed that the case is 'now pending' at CSC - how long does it take to send a file from Missouri to California anyway?!?!?

(Naturally I'm hoping for something in the 'days' rather than 'months' range here...!)

Here's to more touches etc etc etc for everyone! And looking forward to hearing how the Infopass went, Jashley.... :)

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

Bah! I am jealous of all your touches - I want touching, too! :P

(Unsurprisingly, repeatedly clicking on my portfolio in the hopes that it will magically cause the 'last updated' date to change doesn't seem to be having the desired result! )

Hey everyone!

Just got back from a very productive Infopass session. I had to wait quite a while, but the IO was very very nice and he was pretty honest with us. He told us that it was hard for him to judge how long our case was going to take because it was sent to CSC, but he recommended to apply for EAD because our background checks were still pending. He made it clear that there is no way to tell how long the background checks would take- it could take a while because I have a common first and last name. Anyway, bottom line was, he shared a fair amount of information and was honest with us about what he would advise to do.

I think we're going to send off EAD and AP applications this afternoon...

We went for the biometrics july 5th. Drove to the USCIS office in tampa on bay street. We were an hour early for the appointment and decided to go in and wait. When I showed our appointment letter to the guard he told us we were at the wrong office and had to go to brandon. We made it there at 12:35 and they took us right in. Our appointment was at 1 pm and by 12:55 we were done. Anyone from the tampa area, the office is in brandon on Ware street off highway 60 east of 301.

I guess they consider this address as tampa .

Glad you got a friendly, helpful USCIS employee (you were just down the street from me!) rather than the robotic, uncomprehending kind! And yeah... probably a good idea to apply for EAD & AP just as an insurance policy - you know you won't be too upset (well, I wouldn't) if it turns out you don't need them! :)
