I am still here!

We went to trip to Washington DC. We had good reasons- I needed to go to my embassy to vote in referendum and we celebrated my birthday. And we sure needed trip. :) It was all great! :)

No news about AOS tough

Ok, but I'm glad to hear that. I know that things were rough for awhile. Sometimes we just need to get away (together). Good luck and I wish the best for you both.

Congrats wheeler. You were one of the first May filers so it's good to see you have progress.

Thanks for the well wishes, all.

FWIW Bora, the total duration of time until our EAD approval was 72 days, so not thinking about any issues you seem to have had with the classification of your filing, you still have a few days before it probably trickles it's way over to getting reviewed, whether the classification was corrected or not.

It looks from the tracking data here on this website that things are slowing down for USCIS, perhaps vacation time for some people.

4/25 - overnighted packet to Chicago (130, 485, 765, 131)

5/01 - NOA date

5/18 - RFE received for 485

5/19 - biometrics appointment

5/21 - overnighted RFE documentation to Missouri

5/24 - notification that response to RFE received

6/14 - changed address on-line, then called

6/18 - mailed I-865

6/19 - all touched

6/20 - all touched

7/06 - notification AP and EAD approved

7/16 - AP letter and EAD card received

9/23 - AOS Interview letter received for 10/29

I realize that it is difficult to see an approved EAD in less than 75 days, I'm hoping for some kind of action for at least the AOS - a touch, a transfer...

It seems that most people have been transferred. Oh well...I'm trying to be patient (unsuccessfully I'm afraid  ).

Next week will be 73 days (by the time we have our infopass) so we'll see what's up...with the problem/the EAD.

Good luck Jashley...but that is not so bad.

We haven't had a touch since 5/31 and I know there is a potential problem w/ the EAD - but we didn't receive an RFE for either one. I doubt the AOS has a problem.

However,...if it makes you feel better.

We made an appt for next week due to the error on the EAD application.

As for my case, I called FBI HQ in West Virginia earlier, they did receive a request for fingerprint checks from USCIS, and sent the report back same day as my biometrics.. Now, I am not sure if that would include the more exhaustive name checks (including phonetics/similar sounding names associated with my names)..I was told that it would take a month-long (if there is no crim. record).

@Bora-Bora, good luck on the infopass! Waiting sucks, no matter how short or long it is. We deserve a life outside this USCIS blackhole, and each one deserves to be happy & worry-free..
