Yea, I made the INFOPASS appt for the 19th. I read on the USCIS website that as long as your applications are postdated by July 30th you avoid the fee increase.

So, if worse comes to worse and we have to apply - at least we'll avoid that increase.

But...that means that my husband would have to wait another 3 months (possibly) - that is what my greatest fear is.

I was told that it's possible that USCIS noticed that problem and fixed it.

My husband already did biometrics so I don't know what they'd do if we had to reapply.

We'll see.

Hope they can help you at the infopass appointment! Fingers crossed :)

Thanks silke.

I'm hoping USCIS found my error and don't make a big deal out of it since I sent the I-765 along with the GC paperwork. They'll see that we're actually applying for the EAD based on AOS - and not as a fiance.

Hopefully that will be ok...but who knows.

We never received a RFE or anything - and my husband's visa (I-94) expired mid-June.

Excellent - congratulations!!

Bora Bora... ugggghhhh!! Hope you can get it all sorted out at the Infopass - with any luck you'll get one of USCIS's more intelligent and reasonable employees who will be able to get someone to dig out your file and rectify it for you!! Good luck... :)

Nothing to report here... hoping I'll go 'pending at CSC' today if I'm lucky, and also looking out for the hardcopy transfer notice. Not that I need the hardcopy, but checking the mail gives me something to do!

Fingers crossed for more good news for May filers this week... not long 'til people start having interviews, either - exciting stuff!

Congrats wheeler. You were one of the first May filers so it's good to see you have progress.

I called USCIS today and the woman I spoke w/ seemed competent enough (but who knows). I explained the problem to her and she asked for our address and our names....after I gave her the case number.

She said that she'd send the request to the NSC for them to fix the error - from A6 to C9.

I'm hoping for a touch now - thinking that could be due to my phone call.

I told her that I had made an INFOPASS appt and asked if I should still go. She said it may do something or not - so we're still going next week.

I'm hoping that this issue will be taken care of now though.

I also told her that we've been waiting 63 days for the EAD and that our case hasn't been updated since 5/31. I told her I knew that the EAD is supposed to be issued in 30-90 days. She said that if I don't hear anything by day 75 then I should make an appt and they can put in a request for my husband to get it.

The day of our INFOPASS appt will be day 73 so I'll talk to the immigration officer about everything if I don't hear anything before then. The woman today told me that I'd hear from USCIS about my request in up to 45 days....but most likely less (and that it'd be a letter).

I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, definitely still go to the Infopass - hopefully they'll be able to check that the person you spoke to today has managed to get the I-765 problem rectified! Assuming you get a pleasant, competent person, it might be reassuring to be talking to someone face-to-face, you can get a much better feel for whether they've actually grasped the problem etc than if you're just talking to them on the phone! Hope it all gets sorted... fingers crossed. :)

Exactly...and if my husband's EAD hasn't been approved yet then I can request for that as well.

The woman I spoke to on the phone today told me that at my infopass appt they may be able to tell me more. I wish we could talk to them this week but they're busy - only available appts begin next week.
