The case status on my I-485 has JUST this second changed (it got touched while I was typing the last post!) to the following:

Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing.

On July 3, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Stupid website! It'll probably update itself entirely at random, claiming to have sent the transfer notice thingy about a week after you received it. Or something.

Just got the CRIS-mail a few minutes ago, too (saying exactly the same as the case status). Only one CRIS-mail, not like the seven I got when our I-129F was approved. Maybe they've fixed that multiple email generator of theirs! :whistle:

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

08/06/10 NOA letter received, but "Request for evidence" showing on the status website.
08/08/10 NOA #2. Biometrics appointment letter. Scheduled for 08/31/10
08/09/10 Biometrics completed. Walk in.
11/01/10 Touched. Transferred to local (Tampa) office
12/06/10 Interview . Passed
01/11/11 Oath ceremony

Update!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

I received a letter today saying my AOS has been transferred to CSC!!!!!!!

No touches, no e-mails, so I thought it would be an interview letter.....but when I read Transfert notice I jumped in my husband's arms and accidentaly hit his nose :blush: Ok I was happy. No interview!! I made up for hit and cooked him a good lunch and I had fresh banana bread still steaming from the oven :luv:

Edit: Forgot to mention Ive been transferred on June 28th.

So once you get transfered to CSC you will no longer be called for an interview? Is that how it works. Just trying to get a handle on the order of things and which news I should be happy about. Not that I've gotten any news...

Interview at CDJ, K-1 visa granted: Feb 13, 2007

Married: Apr 13 2007

AOS approved: Aug 29, 2007

I-751 Lifting Conditions approved: Aug 8, 2009

In general, this seems to be the case. There are a few, rare times, when someone gets transferred back to Missouri and/or to their local office after being at California. Generally, though, cases transferred to California get approved without an interview.

And as I said previously, I wouldnt bother too much with USCIS website because they dont seem to be too accurate with it, feather B got her update immediately today, and mine should have been since June28 and nothing yet, no update, no e-mail, my case still says that it has been received and thats it.

Thanks everyone.

We do check our mailbox everyday - got good news from the dental insurance today :thumbs:

I'm checking our e-mail, the website, and the mailbox...something will come.

For now my husband is studying English at Berlitz ;) (for silke) where I work and in a few more weeks we'll be travelling to NY to visit my family. Soooo, it's not so bad that he can't work now - and hopefully will have his EAD by the time we return in mid-August.

I'd just like to know where our AOS/EAD paperwork is....

For now though - I'm (im)patiently waiting... :lol:

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil
