I know what you mean. I did call today - although obviously the machine didn't tell me anything I can't read on-line. I didn't bother talking to anyone (any person).

I understand also that I can't do much about the EAD since it's been about 45 days...

but I wish that our AOS would be transferred or something.

It does seem like more and more people are transferred, or have interviews, and then approved...and we're at almost 3 weeks without even a touch.

It's just frustrating. I guess I'm being sensitive since I read about other couple's good news and updates....and we haven't had any action in June (May was full of good news for us - NOAs, touches, biometrics...).

Oh well, patience IS a virtue - I just don't have it.

Hang in there Bora Bora. I know it is tough, but remember the lessons of filing the I-129F! The "automated system" is a royal mess. People receive approvals with no touches, no emails, no changes to the USCIS website. Heck! We had already gotten our paper NOA2 and a few weeks later got a bunch of emails happily informing us our petition had been approved AGAIN :bonk: Duh!

So when all is said and done you just need to stay as positive as you can and enjoy the fact that for this wait you two are together! (L) Easier said than done I know! Sending you some good vibes, and hopefully your June drought ends soon! :thumbs:

Boy do I remember the I129f ordeal ughhh. I received so many emails saying that it had been approved on November 15 then again in December and thats when they forwarded to the NVC. They are screwed up lol. But it is nice to get touched!

My week update...

Our biometrics was a slow wait but a very painless process. We took his passport and the appointment letter. The form asks for basic stats (hair, eye color, height, weight etc). The form also asked for his social security number so luckily I had that info with me as well.

I finally sent in my RFE stuff. The important part was the tax returns and 1099s but I just sent them everything I have (including my assets and household members assets). I literally have nothing else to give them so I hope they are satisfied.

So just to respond to...

Actually, I have a question for those who have had RFEs... did they show up on your online case status, or not? I'm convinced we're going to get an RFE (just my optimistic nature :blush: ), so was wondering whether you get 'warning' in the form of a change in case status, or whether the RFE just lands in your mailbox to 'surprise' you out of the blue?

I received NO email and NO update on my case status online for the RFE. The simple white envelope with a pink piece of paper inside is all I got. We now have a "do not touch the mail until I sort it" rule in my house. That's pretty much all you can do.

Ug. I need a break. I'm going to try not to think about immigration all weekend.

I spoke too soon. I just checked the USCIS website and I got a touch on my I-765 yesterday.

...Probably just processing biometrics...

Just an update on my biometrics....

It went well other than I was stressed because it was my first time driving that far without my husband ( thanks to Mapquest everything went fine)

I have very dry skin and I tend to have eczema on my fingers, unfortunately my right thumb wasnt looking too good today. They told me it was ok, but damn she made my thumb crack twice by pushing so hard on it to get the image :lol: Easy tiger!
