Well we got our Biometrics done today! Came home hoping to see a touch, but still stuck at May 17th as our last touch, so maybe tomorrow.

Bit of excitement as I tried to get us lost on the way there, and we made it with just under ten minutes to spare. My honey was very calm, with me freaking out in the office though... Oopsy!

Regarding driver's licenses - My husband came here on a K1, and got both his SSN and his Indiana learner's permit before we were married. The learner's permit definitely didn't expire with his I-94. I can't remember the exact expiry date, but it's something like a year or two from the date of issue. He changed his name when we got married and got his SSN and LP updated with no trouble.

He'll be testing for his driver's license in a couple weeks, so we'll see if things are different. Getting the learner's permit was pretty easy, though.

He never drove back in England, but he played lots of video games, so it really was pretty easy to teach him to drive. He parks crooked, though.

Nothing new really from us, although hubbie starts school on Monday. We had a bit of a panic because hubbie and I signed up for a convention together and I got a confirmation postcard and he didn't. His got returned as 'undeliverable'. We got an e-mail from the convention staff about it. We've never had problems with anyone receiving mail at the house before, and the address was correct. So, knowing that people have had issues with things like this, we put our names on the mailbox just incase.

It's just weird because it hasn't happened before. He's gotten mail from his bank in the Netherlands, three mails from USCIS, and from relatives out of the country, so it's just odd. In either case, better safe than sorry... and there's the small worry that this might have effected a notice sent or something, but there's no way of knowing so I'm not going to overreact about it.

Good morning all! Got our post biometrics touch! I checked online this morning and there it was. Now to wait again!

Biometrics was painless, not sure why I was nervous, guess the frantic rush to get unlost and just getting there in time had something to do with it.

We went out to eat also, to Bahama Breeze. Yummy!

I am ok, there was nothing so dangerous. Its just so stupid. I drive and back there almost everyday, and there is nothing there. So used, already like robot. But the lesson is - always check, always look, even you think you know this place from A to Z. Even when you think, you are pretty aware driver. Seems I am not at all. This was the last thing we needed now. We are low in money now, and he is so busy with his school, he has to learn for exam this weekend, not fix car. All trunk is spoiled, it will take water now like drowning boat. The worse feeling is that I cant help anything here. If I could turn back time.
