Getting ready for my biometrics 1pm today...I hope it easy and smooth. Hubby still at work till 10am and drive me by 11am to Houston...Im excited but we more excited to eat in Filipino Restaurant in Houston...lol...I cant wait..Wish me luck May Filers...

We had both sets of biometrics done today. We walked up and showed both appointment letters and they stamped both and took full fingerprints.

So now we will sit back and hope for touches.

Two touches (Aos -Ead) already from yesterdays Biometrics

Okay this is why I worry about mine. I had NO touches the day after the biometrics! Should I call and make sure they see it on their system that we did it??????

I wouldn't worry about it- I didn;t have a touch until a few days afterward!

I would give it a few more days. And you got your appointment notice stamped, right? So you have proof that you were actually there...

"On June 7, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

Heather, you should keep up w/ the June filers so you can follow cases similar to yours - congrats on the checks/NOAs.

I checked (again) for touches - but nothing.

My hubby is taking his driver's test on Tuesday and I hope they accept his NOA for the AOS because his I-94 expires next week. I know people have done that. His ID is only valid 'til next week (when the I-94 expires). I don't understand why they don't at least give him until at least September (when the actual K1 visa expires).

It depends on the state. Where I live, Illinois, they require a photo ID (passport), a signature ID (SSN or some other proof of your signature), proof of social security (SSN card), and proof of residence (a peice of mail sent to you at your home address - I used my NOA1 for this part).

I'm sure it varies from state to state, but you can look up what is acceptable at your local DMV's website, I think. We got an ID that's valid until next year.

I still use my Latvia drivers license. Its valid one year. Actually it was smart, because Its got it in 2000, so when they added me to insurance, they considered I have driving experience, and I am added as secondary driver for free. If I would get my PA drivers license it would be new, with driving experience 0, and insurance would be - I don't want to even think how much.

I never got any kind of ID here, do I need one? So far I did everything with my passport.

Or drivers license is the same as you say ID?

10/10 - medical exam

10/19 - INTERVIEW!

10/20 - received visa

11/7 - arrived in USA, POE YFK

1/19 - Married

02/23/2007 - Civil Surgeon (checked just vaccines for $ 25)

05/04/2007 - AOS package sent to Chicago

05/11/2007 - NOA1

05/15/2007 - NOA2 - ASC appointment letter about biometrics

05/24/2007 - RFE about tax forms w-2 and 1099!!!

06/05/2007 - Biometrics

21/06/2007 - NOA3 - Transfered to California

10/07/2007 - AOS approved, card production ordered!!!

19/07/2007 - Half year marriage anniversary - GC arrives!!!

07/08/2009 - Package sent (My cover letter 40 peaces of evidence)

07/14/2009 - check was cashed

07/10/2009 - NOA 1 received, GK extended for a year

07/17/2009 - received biometrics letter with my case number

08/06/2009 - scheduled biometrics appointment

11/16/2009 - approval

12/01/2009 - touched - card production ordered

2/26/2010 - got ten year card

No more departures!!!

No more typing!!!
