Belated congrats for yesterday, JessiPooh! :)

Just got a call from my mother-in-law - hooray, we now have a full set of NOAs!! I'm now rather regretting using her address as our mailing address (thought it would be sensible as we know she'll be living there for the foreseeable future, whereas we might just end up moving midway through this AOS process, particularly if it takes a while!), 'cos it's only just occurred to me that I'm bound to get called for biometrics at a local office that's a four-hour round trip away, rather than the one I could walk to in five minutes. D'oh!

Um, anyone know if it's possible to get biometrics done at a different office to the one specified on the letter....? Not that I've got an appointment yet, but those touches on Tuesday and Wednesday might have actually meant something! I don't even think it'd be possible for me to get to Columbus (where the m-i-l lives) on my own if they want me to go there, I'll have to get my husband to take a day off work to drive me or something. Eek!!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Oh, I'd forgotten about Greyhound! Good idea... (thank you!) will get on their website and have a look! I know my way around Columbus well enough, so if I do have to go there, it won't be a problem so long as I can actually get there in the first place. But wandering a couple of blocks seems a better idea still.... will have to investigate! Stupidly, when filling in all the forms, the biometrics 'problem' didn't enter my head once....

Yay - congrats, I was really happy just to see our cheques cashed - it's reassuring to know everything's going according to plan! And yep, I guess that would most likely make you a June filer unless you end up with an NOA mysteriously dated a week before the cheques were cashed. (My NOAs are dated the same day that the cheques cleared, although they didn't show on my account 'til a day after that).

Hope everything goes smoothly for you - and for all of us! :)

I have kept myself busy for the couple last days and I forgot to check the USCIS website for any update....

But I just looked and AOS/EAD got touched on 06/05/2007 :) Maybe they touched before that but I will never know :P
