This may be a dumb question, but I was wondering how you find out if you're "touched". I registered my case with the uscis website and am supposed to receive emails when there are any updates. If I get an email (or check the uscis website), what will it say to consider it a touch? Ok, I feel dumb. :lol:

Hey don't feel dumb!

They won't e-mail you when your case is merely "touched." To see the last updated date, you actually have to log in to your account and look at that column on the main page that lists your cases.

They'll only e-mail you if a specific action is taken on your case i.e. CSC transfer, card production ordered, RFE, etc. They will not e-mail you when they issue you an interview date...that's a surprise that just shows up in your mailbox!

A touch is an update on your account. We don't know exactly what they're for. The only time I've ever received an e-mail with a touch is when my husband's K1 visa application was approved.

Other than that no. However, we had a touch on 5/11 which was when the biometrics letter was generated and sent out.

So sometimes you're touched when they send you correspondance. Other times it could mean they 'moved' your application, sometimes it's for an RFE...who knows.

I'm hoping that we have some action on our applications now that the biometrics is over.

*hmm* Maybe your NOA1 got lost in the mail or they neglected to send you one. I don't know what to tell you or what you can do to find anything out. Sorry I can't be of more help. :unsure:

You could try to read the 13 digit number on the back of your check and access your case status online (in a lot of cases it is impossible to make out the number on the back of the check though). You could also schedule an infopass appointment in order to find out about your case status. Try not to worry too much. I'm sure your NOA will arrive any day now :yes:

Hi Guyz...

I had my biometric today...*thank God*

It was easy and excellent...just took 10 minutes....

this is the proses:

After I fill the form..they ask my ID..and my marriage licence...

then I have to wait, and they check all my ID...then they give me back the form...and i'm on the line...

And the clerk finally call me...and take me to the machine for fingerprint...

after fingerprint...she took my pic...then done...

And I have my paper back, for approve that I've done my biometric.

that's it...:)

When I went home...*sigh*...i received RFE like Arazia and Gustahot...

I dunt know what i have to do....and i tried to understand...this is just the proses..*even i feel terrible*

please guyz..if someone already got through this situation, help me...

i really don't know...what kind paper they need...

I sent all of my husband Tax papers...

any idea?

*@ready4ONE:

thank you for your support...:)

and i'm gonna have a baby anytime...:P

and one more thing to do...RFE...*sigh*

@Bora_Bora:

thank you for your support...

@Arazia

thank you for updating and everything

and for your reply *its so fast* :)

Finally I got my biometrics done today. It was a long drive to get about 30 bucks in gas and got a little lost well maybe alot lost by 10 exits but i got there within 5 minutes of appointment time. At least traffic wasn't bad but it rained cats and dogs along the way which i hate.

for those who never experienced a biometrics well it was a drop in the bucket nothing to worry about.

it was like filling out a match.com body profile except you have to put A# and S#. thats it1 well i am happy.

And remember not to smile when taking pic and don't move there chair even if it seem slanted when taken pic
