I finally had enough and called the USCIC and asked about mine and my daughters pending cases. He was able to tell me that our cases are back at the cleveland office which might be for an interview. He made a request for an update in our case and said that we should hear something via mail soon.

I thought that if you live near Cleveland that you didn't need an interview, but who knows.

Anyway, I am glad that I got the phone call out of the way and will be checking my mail. My daughter is 11 years old and did not have to be home for me to ask him to put a request in for her case too, so that was good.

Anyway, fingers crossed that all is well.

Nope. My husband was one of the lucky ones and got his greencard back in September. I get the posting emails every once in a while so I can check up on the likes of those May filers that have yet to get those and cheer them on. :) Glad to see that Bora Bora FINALLY got theirs! Woo hoo! Now it's you Winterr & Maria. Anyone else?

Bora Bora: congratulations!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!

Last week has been such a nightmare for us- we went to an Infopass since we didn't get an update since August. The Immigration Officers were extremely rude and told us my case is in Missouri -not california- and denied! :blink:

everybody told us different stories and they basically sent us home and told us not to come back unless our case has been pending for 2-4 years!

we contacted our local congressman and luckily they have been a great help. I just got a phone call that my case is in california and going through name clearance as I'm typing this. The CA supervisor said he's positive that I'd have my GC in the mail within the next 8 weeks. :dance::dance:

what a relieve. I don't want to get too exited until I have it in writing that I'm really approved.

I'm extremely disappointed about the bunch of lunatics working at the Infopass place in NYC. they had no ida what they were talking about and treated us absolutely discriminating. :bonk:

winterr, I'm glad to hear YOUR case is in Cleveland. Our case was in Orlando and we didn't even know it. Then there was the interview letter. It's good that you called. I'm sure you're next!!

Thanks to EVERYONE for their support and nice wishes. I'm relieved. Hubby was able to get his DL vaid for SIX years. In Florida they write TEMPORARY large and in red on the DL and it was only valid for a year...kind of sucks.

And hubby got a new job - lots to :dancing: for...
