Yesterday I got a touch on my AOS, but normally my daughters AOS gets one on the same day, the reason why I worry is because we changed our address and USCIS only confirmed my daughters address changed, I still haven't got a letter that they received my change of address.

But maybe it's normal to get touches on separate days, I don't know. Hopefully as mother and daughter (she is only 11yo) we get our green cards on the same day.

Boy it's so much quieter in here these days!!! :innocent:

Hey you guys...

AP / EAD approved today!! I just got the e-mails a few minutes ago. I am a little sad that it's not the GC, but I am happy that I was approved so soon (mailed them in July 16th; NOA July 25th).

I am really scared/nervous now...I thought I'd have all kinds of time before I had to decide what I want to do, work on my resume, etc...I have been off since June 2006 so I feel like I'll be useless in a job now.

Anyway, pretty exciting week for EAD's....now we just need some GC approvals!!

Wow Jashely! That's great....congrats :dancing:

It IS quiet around here. I think it's because someone rained on our parade, and by this time most people seem to have their GCs (or at least a transfer with touches).

I checked again now and there hasn't been a touch :clock:.

Congratulations on your GC!

One idea - if your not sure what to do for work and not terribly pressed for cash, maybe just pick something up part-time and go take a class at a local community college, continuing ed program. I did that just for fun and a few years and many courses later later found myself launched into a new career.

5/01 - NOA date

5/21 - overnighted RFE documentation to Missouri

6/18 - mailed I-865

6/20 - all touched

7/06 - notification AP and EAD approved

For those of us still waiting for interviews or have had interviews but are awaiting GC approval for AOS, are people going to wait until processing times have passed at local offices or start scheduling infopass appointments or lobbying their senator ahead of time?

I'm not really sweating this, but I don't want to wait until late December or January, which is when it looks like we'll finally be outside of the processing times - only because our AP and EAD expire NEXT July and by the time that works itself out, we might be cutting it close.

Just wondering what others think.

I don't think there is much that we can do until we are outside processing times. Annoying as it is, I don't think our voices will carry much weight until that happens. We are within the time they project it to take. I don't want to waste my opportunities and energy, for something that is not outside of official expectations.
