Called USCIS again today regarding my EAD....it seems at my InfoPass appt the IO who sent the email to CSC messed up big time, because i had forgotten to put my A# on my application she included it in the email only to find out today she wrote it down wrong :bonk: it was someone elses ....ARRRGGGHHH, the IO asked me how i got that A# i was like.....it got it from my approved I-129F and she asked me to repeat it over the phone. She then told me that was NOT the one showing on my EAD application......so she contacted CSC to inform them of the mistake and let them know of the correct A#.

The IO said my EAD will be adjudicated ASAP!!

We got to talking about my pending AOS application and she asked if i had been for my interview yet :o i was like.....umm i havent had an interview appt in the mail yet so she asked for my MSC # and went and checked......she advised me to make an InfoPass appt to inquire when i'd be scheduled for an interview and also told me that my name check has been completed :D which she didnt understand why i hadnt had my interview date yet!!

Well, thanks for the comment Jashley...I do appreciate it.

I guess there is nothing we can do but wait.

The IO did say that the GCs can take 24-36 months to be approved. And we all know they can take 2-3 months.

It's not worth it to call back because my husband I can't be together at 8 a.m. due to work....nor can we go to an infopass together because of the same reason. I have more off days than my husband (and I'm the one who speaks fluent English) but if they won't talk to me w/out him then it's worthless.

We don't need the GC right now, but it'd be nice to know that my husband can leave the country whenever and not have to worry about his EAD and/or DL expiring next year.

I guess the thing that bothers me the most is that his case is still in the NBC and hasn't been transferred or updated.

Good things ALWAYS happen to us on friday!

We got the "card production ordered" email dated Sept. 6th.

Now I'm worried about it actually getting here, since we're leaving the country at the end of the month. We were planning on traveling on AP but this would be much better!

CONGRATS!

I don't mean to be Suzy Raincloud, but you may want to get the passport stamped. I may be mistaken, but I don't believe you can travel on the AP once you Green Card has been approved - even if it is not yet in your hands.

Thanks, I think we're all living under a rain cloud during this process...worse case scenario is my favorite  my husband is the positive one

I have also heard that AP is no longer valid. How would he get the passport stamp? Go back to the local USCIS office?

Good luck to all the infopassers!

Started our visa journey applying for K-1: Oct 11, 2006

Interview at CDJ, K-1 visa granted: Feb 13, 2007

Yes Cassandra...I think you would make an Infopass. IMHO, I would tell them that you're approved but you have an immediate need to travel at the end of the month. The approval e-mail you received said that the card would arrive within 60 days (I think that's what it says) so you would like to get your passport stamped so you can travel without worry of not getting it in time.

What's your local office? I am sure they'll be great! Good luck!

Congrats Cassandra!!

I have to share that I called USCIS today and the CS lady was nice - but couldn't tell me much so she transferred my call to an IO (didn't know they could do that - didn't ask). The IO that I talked to was a giant B**CHHH!! She told me she couldn't talk to me because my husband wasn't there...although I'm his wife, petitioner, sponsor! She wouldn't even let me talk, she just kept on and on...and I had to ask her to repeat herself once because her accent was so thick. Now I even had to tell her that she was not being professional - I realized I was raising my voice. And...she hung up on me!!

I told her that it's hard for my husband and I to be on the phone at the same time because we both work long hours. She was nasty and rude! I was HOT when I hung up. But what to do, right?

The only thing is an infopass but I don't know if my husband can get time off of work yet - and it may not do anything.

What a pissy lady...

I hope no one else has this problem. But I also hope that you can talk to an IO if you ever have to call.

edit: Oh yea, I told the IO that my husband doesn't speak English well and she said that they have Spanish IOs....um, hello, my husband doesn't speak Spanish! She was nasty from the beginning of the call....

Being his wife, you'd think that they would have at least told you something. Grrrr.
