the good thing is that your case is already in california - so you just need a touch then an approval. i hope it works out well (and quickly) for you...i'm crossing my fingers.

my hubby's case is still in nbc - i don't get it. :clock:

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

My AOS is still sitting in NBC as well Bora.....i've not been waiting as long as you though but i'm surprised you havent even had a transfer or an interview date yet :(

Finally checking in to let everyone know we had our AOS interview Tuesday and got approved :dance: :dance: :dance:...I think. It's the same situation as many, we got the verbal ok but we're stuck with the FBI. Luckily we have AP and EAD so we can still go back to Mexico next month and work.

What was really strange is that the officer felt some kind of personal connection to us and actually called us on Thursday to let us know that FBI check was going through and we should expect the green card soon :blink: (and she kept saying we are a great couple :innocent: ) You actually read a lot about officers being very personable and friendly. Some people like this... I just think it's weird because you don't know when they are asking questions as themselves and when they are testing you as an immigration officer. Before my interview someone passed me this piece of advice...

1) Always tell the truth

2) Don't tell too much - The officer may seem really nice and chatty but never forget that you are in front of an immigration officer whose job is to evaluate you.

This second piece of advice was especially valuable for me since I tend to be chatty and love talking about my husband and his homeland. The officer was very informal and friendly with us (she even gave me here personal email for me to send her some tips about Mexican food). But there were many points where she was obviously trying to trick us to see if we were faking it, previously married, had children, etc. It's unfortunate that being sneaky in this way is part of the job. I held my tongue on many occasions - I think to my benefit. Thats my 2 cents.

It's completely possible...their online system is so messed up right now. My AP Receipt Number is still not working and my NOA is from July 25th. It might just show up in your mailbox....wouldn't that be a nice surprise!!!

Hi everyone we received the card in the mail today directly from CSC (Laguna Miguel).

Everyone still waiting for the EADs from CSC please file a congressional inquiry and make infopasses you need to push them. They are sitting on these EADs b/c bios weren't received until 7/12 (most of us submitted them in late May or early June). It's AN error so you need to PUSH THEM!!!

For everyone else I hope you either get your AOS approved or interviews!!! I should be filing ours soon.........yayayaya!

Everyone still waiting for the EADs from CSC please file a congressional inquiry and make infopasses you need to push them. They are sitting on these EADs b/c bios weren't received until 7/12 (most of us submitted them in late May or early June). It's AN error so you need to PUSH THEM!!!

For everyone else I hope you either get your AOS approved or interviews!!! I should be filing ours soon.........yayayaya!

Looks like i'm gonna have to make another InfoPass appointment as well :angry: grrrrrrrrr i'm p!ssed

Not much to say for us, really. The husband is a bit reluctant to start driving practice, so I need to kick his butt into gear. He's doing well in school and seems to be enjoying his classes. We're planning on going back to the Netherlands during spring break of next year.
