Hi, I got the interview at new york office yesterday, you may find my interview experience from the link:

Since the security check still in process, I didn't get any status change for my I-485 case, but I do get the 'case approved' for my I-130.

Does anyone have a similiar situation like this? What I can do next? thanks.

Don't worry. From what you wrote it sounds like the AO would have approved you if your name check had been cleared. Now all you can do is sit back and wait for the name check to clear. Hope you won't have to wait too long :)

Congrats to everyone with good news - it's so nice to have it.

My hubby bought a car today so he's ecstatic!!! He doesn't have any credit yet since all he has is some joint bank accounts with me...so we actually bought it together.

Jessipooh, let us know what's up and how the infopass goes...hope your husband gets his EAD!!

Went in to infopass. Nothing no EAD yet. The IO sent the e-mail there and then and gave me a Notice about them sending it. At the other infpass 2 weeks ago this was never done so I am pretty sure that e-mail was never sent. :o

Hi! Just would like to ask what is the validity of your EAD? I got mine 2 weeks ago and its gonna be expired already by Sep 12,2007 the same expiry my I-94 has. Is this always the case? What should I do next after my EAD expires?

Hi, When you filed your EAD application you must have filed under the category of (a)(6) it is tied to the expiry date of your I-94. Did you file for AOS at the same time?..... if so you should have filed for EAD under the category of ©(9). You can either wait for approval of your AOS or re-apply for EAD using category ©(9) and pay the new filing fees of $340.

My hubby's EAD is valid until next July 2008...we hope to have his GC way before then. However, we did apply after we got married. If you apply for the EAD before you get married then it's only valid for those first 90 days - same as the I-94 and the deadline to get married. You'll have to renew it.

Jessipooh, I'm sorry you didn't have any luck. But the first IO may have put in the request - just not shown a notice. I am hoping for the best for you both. You're quite patient.

I'm ok that the GC hasn't been approved yet but I'd like a transfer (or an interview). It just seems weird since our NOA is from May 8th (received May 2nd) and no updates since May 31st... hmmmmm :whistle:

Bora what are the processing dates for the center your AOS is at???

There are none since my hubby's application is sitting at the NBC. Orlando's date is 2/13 - but it's not in Orlando. And I don't see why we'd have to have an interview since most people don't.

I'm a bit confused since there hasn't been a touch in almost 3 months. Ok, that can be normal....but most cases are transferred - usually to CSC if not to the local office.
