Sorry for being a bit slow on recent updates. This is my week off of work and I haven't been spending much time around the 'net in the process. The husband starts his first full-time semester of college next week, and he just passed his written exam for his learner's permit at the DMV today. So we're getting a bit done in our lives. I'm hoping he can get his lisence before it gets real cold in the winter.

No touches or updates yet. VJ timeline says August 27th based on timelines found here but you are right the information officer at my local office did tell me that it is procedure that EADs be processed in 90 days.

So I had my biometrics for EAD scheduled for today at Noon, and I figured that since I was making the trip, I might as well inquire about my cases through Infopass (particularly because my AP receipt number still isn't recognized online OR with the mis-information line. So, I went in at 9:45am and didn't have to wait one minute to be served. A nice lady called me up and looked into my AP and said even though the number isn't in the case status system, it's in her system and it's currently pending in Missouri. She also said my EAD was there as well as my AOS. When I told her I got a transfer notice for my AOS, she looked further and said I was right, it is in California. She then went into the system to see how my background checks for AOS were coming along. She said "your background checks have cleared" very nonchalantly. I was like WHAT?!?! She totally made my day!! So, they're cleared now...so I wonder what's next for my AOS! SHE told me that my file would be transferred to Cincinnati and that I would get an interview notice...I am not sure that's true, since most cases that go to Cali are adjudicated without an interview. Who knows...

Oh, and when I told her I had my Biometrics at Noon, she offered to call down to the ASC to see if I could get in early. They agreed, and I was out of there by 10:30! Overall, the people at the Cincinnati office are very, very helpful and nice.

Now...I just hope my IO finds my AOS file to finish processing it!

I was bracing for a long wait in background checks because the IO at my last Infopass on July 11th said that if it hadn't come in by that point, then it was going to take months or even years to come back. I was utterly shocked when she said they were cleared today!

Jashley, that's great to know that you have case numbers and that your paperwork is somewhere! The first IO I talked to also said I'd have an interview - but we know from VJ that that is not always true. Then he said there are waivers (being transferred to CSC/no interviews). Good news!

And - my boss gave me my schedule - she did me right!! I have 2 advanced classes and even my principal's niece and our police officer's (SRO) niece...that's a good sign.

Hi guys. We had to leave town for a couple weeks, but when we got back, my husband's resident card was in our mail. It probably arrived around the 3rd of August. It looks very high tech!

+ Also, we got an email saying approval notice mailed, but I can't see where we ever got an approval notice, unless it was packaged with the greencard. We did get a notice saying our EAD application had been administratively closed.
