@featherB: Sorry to hear about the mistake on your green card. I just read your post in the general AOS forum. Maybe you should make an infopass appointment and ask them to stamp your passport (that way you have proof of your PR status).

Hi everyone...I just got back from the interview. It went really great. The lady that interviewed us was really pleasant and nice all around. Our interview was scheduled for 11am, but we weren't called in until 11:30. We had to wait for a little bit. The interview was maybe 10-15 minutes.

After she sworn us in, she asked me questions from the I-485 form. Then she asked my husband some questions from the I-130 form (we filed I-130/I-485). I think the only question outside the Qs from the form was who officiate the wedding. We couldn't remember the officiant's full name, we only remember her first name. And we also told her that my husband's uncle co-officiate the ceremony, so she asked the uncle name as well.

After that she asked what documents that we bring with us. So we showed her our photo album. She took one picture from the album. I think it was the one with my family and his family outside after the ceremony. Then she took copies of the insurance stuff (life, health, auto), employment letter, designation of the retirement fund, bank joint account, and lease agreement. We also showed her some cards addressed to us. When she saw one from the animal clinic, she said "oh, you have a pet". Then of course I proudly showed a picture of him (I'm a new puppy mommy, so I happily show picture of him to everyone). After that she said that everything look good. The fingerprint and background check both went through. She took my I-94 and she told us to expect the card to arrive within 4 weeks. YAY!!!!

We couldn't ask for a better officer. She was just really nice. The interesting part actually happened on the way to the immigration office. My husband works only a couple of block from the office, so our plan was to meet at the lobby around 10:30ish-with him walking from his office and I drive from home. So at 10am I was ready. Have all my stuff with me. I only need to get my car and apartment keys. Could not find them. By 10:15 I was FREAKING out. I searched everywhere. I couldn't get my H to get me or we will be late. He parks his car like 15 minutes away from the office, plus the 20 minutes drive each way to and from our apartment to downtown... We wouldn't make it in time. Thankfully I called a friend that live pretty close by. She's a livesaver..I'm so grateful to her. My apartment was a mess when I left, with stuff everywhere from me frantically looking for the key. I couldn't even lock the door since I didn't have the key with me.

Now here's the kicker. After we're done with the interview, we went to my H's office to get his car keys. So he went get his keys from his bag. We had to wait for a few minute for a couple of his co-workers who were joining us to lunch. While we're waiting, my H was playing with the keys. Then he stopped, looked at it, then gave the keys to me.."Ooo..here are your keys". So yeah...apparently this morning he grabbed two set of keys. His and mine.

God..I just wrote a novel. This is getting too long. So in short, I'm waiting for my green card in the mail.:dance:

Thank you everyone with the help in our green card journey!!!

edit: Congrats beachmouse!!!
