Hey Guys. For all of you who had your AOS transferred to CSC around June 28, give or take a day, and had it pending at CSC by the 7th of July start expecting Welcome notices.

We just received ours and I know of two other couples with similar dates, pending, touches etc that were approved as early as July 17th and ours was approved today the 20th.

Good luck everyone!

I don't necessarily agree with that advice to others!

I wouldn't 'expect' your welcome notice, that will just set you up for disappointment if it doesn't come. Remain positive, but remember that there are no guarantees with the USCIS!

I'm sure we'll know something about the EAD by next week. Someone PMed me saying that the officer at her infopass appt told her that she may very well not be denied - there may just be a delay. (Well, that we know lol).

So I'm waiting 'til next Friday and if I don't hear anything then we'll apply again - correclty - just in case we're denied, we have to avoid the fee increase. I hope it's not a waste of money though.

An approved EAD would mean so much to us...

What does this action mean? What are the next steps that I should be expecting to happen to my case? I have been under RFE and I sent my resply already, does this mean my RFE is fine now?

Congratulations.

Yes you can start applying for job, and you can even start working. According to I-9:

"..If employees are authorized to work, but are unable to present the required document(s) within three business days, they must present a receipt for the application of the document(s) within three business days and the actual document(s)within ninety (90) days..."

As long as you show your EAD card to the employee in 90 days, you are fine.

Kaan.

Happy Sunday, Arazia, you can update my timeline if you would please. We recieved letter from CSC yesterday dated july 16/07 Request for applicant to appear for initial interview to register permanent residence or adjust status on august 30th. I had only sent my rfe for income taxes in three weeks ago and we didn't recieve the EAD yet. I better hurry and get my wifes name on something. All we have is her fishing license so far. I didn't expect this to come for months.

Tomorrow marks day 83 for us. The immigration officer said that they need (for real I don't know) to make a decision on the EAD a week before the 90-day mark.

Well, let's hope so.... :clock:

The form shows they recieved my application may 11th. Yours seems to be going alot slower and I waited almost a month before I sent the RFE in to them. Was hoping to get the green card without the interview but oh well, at least I know where the office is now after mistakingly going to it for biometrics.

BoraBora, not sure if this helps you feel better or not but I hope so, your calculation should start from your NOA1 dates, which was May 8th, so your applications are really at day 75 not including today...

The magic 90 day mark for you is Monday August 6th...

I know waiting is tough, hope you get some movement soon.

Hi Rahtryinhard,

I am glad you found that information useful, but I should admit that I have learnt that information from Dr_LHA's post, and then double check I-9 form.

I needed that information because I am going to start a new job and waiting for my EAD/GC approved.

I have learn a lot from VJ members, and I share my experiences with everybody here. By sharing what we know and helping each other, we all have speedy and painless immigration processes.

Good luck everybody.
