Immigrating to the US again from NZ

Hi guys,

This is a bit of a long story. Bare with me please! I have a couple of questions.

I am a prior conditional green card holder, (due to only being married 1 year when I got my green card) when my husband separated from the USAF we moved back to NZ and he has a 2 year working visa that expires this November. We have decided to relocate back to the states, so I’ll need to go through the IR1/CR1 visa process again. I didn’t overstay my previous visa, I left 4 days before it expired and returned it to my consulate with the appropriate form and received a copy back from them. My question is will my prior green card and relinquishing it make this process more difficult? I had no issues with my previous application and nothing has changed except the length of time my husband and I have been married for.

My questions are will my prior green card and relinquishing it make this process more difficult?

Do I still have to do the medical? I have no issues doing it again, I just want to make sure that I’m fully prepared and have all of my paperwork ready to go.

What amount per month does my husband need to be earning in order to fulfill the affidavit of support? We will be going back to his home state of Maine. He receives retirement and disability from the VA every month so he already has income in the US.

Thanks!

No

Same process as before including medical.

I 864 is something he needs to complete, exactly how much difficult to say as no doubt it will increase next year, but you can see current amount.

Thanks for your help! I'm starting the paperwork again today and will hopefully have my packet all ready to post at the end of this week :)
