Update:

 

My wife receive her EAD and SSN yesterday. Her EAD was filed (early March) under the C9 category.

 

Hope other folks have some happy news shortly.

I know how he feels its terrible! I tried expediting but the place i went to interview didnt want to give the job offer letter and do it that way they just said to come back once i have everything. So i'm going to try just at a normal retail store maybe it'll be easier that way and i'll try expediting.

 

Does anyone here have any advice/tips/experience expediting their EAD?

Is there somewhere we can find rules/reasons to qualify and apply for ead expedite?

Hi All,

 

I just received following notification on my and spouses` I-485 application.

 

Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

What does this mean for my case? Is this good or bad? Has anyone else experienced this?

 

This is my current timeline

 

(EB1 India- I-140 approved with a PD 06/26/2017)

02/15/2018-  mailed through Fedex I-485, I-131,I-765 (Phoenix USCIS Lockbox) ( For me and my wife) 

02/20/2018 - Package delivered to Phoenix USCIS lockbox

03/02/2018 - NOA1 text/email received ( Received 6 notifications 3 for Me and 3 for my wife). My case has been assigned to Nebraska processing center

03/07/2018 - Hard copy of NOA received in the mail

03/24/2018 - Biometrics Notification received in the mail (Appointment Date -04/04/2018)

04/04/2018 - Biometrics Completed

05/03/2018 - I485(For both me and my spouse) case transferred and a new office has jurisdiction

That is good news. Means your case moved to your local office and closer to an interview.

I have user define error and called was told still in Chicago and ready to move to interview phase still.

 

Any other updates?

My case still the same... No updates

I checked my case status  now it's says Case Result Changed? What does it means? I havent get my EAD yet...

Is employed based EAD supposed to be faster than family based? Why is that?

Pretty sure that would qualify as financial harm to a us company. Therefore head of the line.

I also received a similar message "Your case was transferred to another office".  Maybe they are shifting applications to less busy field offices?

There has also been a 'pre-vetting process', for the lack of better terms,  for employment based petitions with the submission and acceptance of the I-140.

Has anyone here make an Infopass appointment at the Charlotte USCIS office or any other place ? was it beneficial ?

Yes made an infopass. Very helpful can answer direct questions about case status. If office close to you should do it.

We were late February filers and we just received our interview notice today! Received combo card last week after requesting to expedite and then interview notice came today. Praise God! Our status has not updated on either of the websites, no app updates, emails or texts, and "user-defined" error is still showing up. For those of you feeling discouraged because of a RFE, we received one at the end of March as well, so it didn't seem to slow our process down too much. I hope many of you will begin receiving notices soon as well!
