Hey folks, an update. Went to INFOPASS our preim checks are all complete. They said April 18 a notice was sent to request an interview. So seems “user defined” glitch is for some reason. Will wait by the mail next week to see what this letter and interview timing is.

Good to hear that friend! May I ask you when is your priority date and when did you start noticing the user-defined error?

No RFE/RFIEs at all. Are you able to make an INFOPASS appointment in your region or is it too busy? The two people working yesterday in our field office were extremely understanding and helpful with everyone there to get their case status and see what to do.

I live pretty far from the nearest USCIS support center and when I tried scheduling an infopass, all the dates were taken for the next two weeks. I’m planning to call USCIS customer service  next week and if I can’t get a reasonable answer, i’ll scheduling an infopass again. Well, I got a RFIE which o responded to as far back as March 15th

Happy New Month folks! May this new month bring us tons of good news about our documents! And to those of us with the notorious “user- defined error(s),” may we receive our interview notices and may our interviews be a success story!:)

Hey everybody, I am popping over to ask a question.

How long did it take most folks from here to get their EAD approval, which is the one which gives the ability to work, correct?

It is more around the 6 month mark now I believe.  Even the January AOS filers are still waiting for their EADs, apart from those that expedited their cases for a specific reason.

Good luck for your husband's job interviews tomorrow!  I have heard many recent success stories on expediting the EAD due to an offer of employment :).

though if we have to prove financial burden or loss, I don’t think there is any way to expedite because he is here based on my income (K1 visa) and my ability to support him, which I can, am, and do.

Sure would be good for him though. He’s bored as heck and feels he has no purpose:(

I know how he feels its terrible! I tried expediting but the place i went to interview didnt want to give the job offer letter and do it that way they just said to come back once i have everything. So i'm going to try just at a normal retail store maybe it'll be easier that way and i'll try expediting.

Does anyone here have any advice/tips/experience expediting their EAD?
