How did you sign up for emails? Is it through the G-1145 form or at the USCIS website?

I did it both ways. I'm not sure which method enabled me to receive this particular email.

Also, I want to point out that it's worth checking both the old website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do) and the new website (https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/) for status.

The old one updated with this status, but the new one has not changed.

How many Feb folks have gotten interview notices?

I see one in the timelines from Denver and the next page over there is one from Portland, OR - Mike and Tuyen - they post here often. So we know they have received it.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=0&op1=2&op2=d&op3=&op4=14&op5=&op6=&op8=All&xfr=&vtype=0&interview=

Not everybody maintains theirs, so it is hard to know.

I have a question regarding taxes. Are you filling jointly/married or is the USC filling separately but as married?

I had income up to May 2017 in my home country and I am filling there and don't know if I can file in both countries?

Thank you if anyone can answer if they worked in 2017 prior to coming to US and how are they filling that income.

We were married in nov 2017 so we filed joint married although my husband was obviously unemployed in the US. I don’t think your employment outside of the us will count but I could be wrong. Filing married will also make you eligible for the working tax credit. Our return was good due to the credit. Hope this helps.

I have a question! When i initially filed everything my EAD application was sent back to me (with a green paper on top) stating that i used an old form and to refile. I refiled shortly after, however I was wondering if i lost my place in line. Like would my EAD application still be in place with the rest of mine? Or did it technically restart from day 0? If anyone knows what i mean? Hard to explain kind of.

Hello guys, on April 4th my status changed from "we received your case" to "We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case". I couldn't find much information on the Internet about this message and its meaning. It seems to me a very unnecessary update but it doesn't seem a lot of people get this update neither so it makes me concerned if there are any problems on my case (like failed the FBI background check or something).

I am located in Los Angeles and here is my timeline:

Feb 12  package sent

Feb 21  App received

Mar 13  Biometrics done

Apr 4  Case status updated
