If any applicant receiving an RFIE has a spouse (sponsor) that started employment in or after 2017 and they did not include a letter from their employer stating salary, hours worked, etc, then this could be the reason.  At least, this was the reason for ours, (plus the six months paystubs).  I didn't look through the I-864 form or instructions with a fine tooth comb as I let my husband do that part.  I should have, in hindsight, but I went OCD with checking the rest of the package that I was happy to not be too involved with the I-864.  Lesson learned :jest:.

There are, however, many reasons for an RFIE.  It could be an issue with a certificate or the translation of one.  I look forward to everyone updating this thread with their experiences regarding their RFIE.

I hope my husband's employer sends this letter to us quickly so we can send it in to USCIS.  Waiting is hard enough as it is, right?! :).

I see. But I included his 6 months pay stubs and employer letter. So I don't know what it is. Hope yours gets resolved quickly!

Just got my biometrics letter in the mail! Got to it just in time, half of it started getting wet from this storm we have here.

Appointment is for the 15th, 11am in Revere, MA. Any other Boston filers try doing an early walk-in?

We haven't received our appointment date yet, but we might try going for an early biometrics as we live on an island and if we go off for some reason we'll try to go in at the same time, but still have to wait to receive the original date.

I read that walk-ins in Boston are 50/50, sometimes they let you do it earlier sometimes not.

Yes. I didn't know there are different offices in MA, so there is one in Boston and in Revere?

I didn't know that either. I guess Revere might just be for biometrics and some other things? Unless they just put me there randomly. It just stated that that's where my appointment is on the 15th.

That is what i experienced in my early walk-in. I was turned away and had to go back on the scheduled appointment date. It all depends on their mood to be honest, because ASC offices are never busy to the point where they can't fit in a few extra walk-ins (I may be wrong) but that was what i saw. Have a strong reason or else just go on the scheduled date

Hello everyone. Just got the NOA via text and email..Yay!! The only thing that was odd was I had submitted the G1145 separately for my wife with a different email and number. But I still ended up getting all notifications to my number and email. Is it because I am the primary and she is a derivative applicant?

(EB1 India- I-140 approved with a PD 06/26/2017)

02/15/2018-  mailed through Fedex I-485, I-131,I-765 (Phoenix USCIS Lockbox) ( For me and my wife)

02/20/2018 - Package delivered to Phoenix USCIS lockbox

03/02/2018 - NOA1 text/email received ( Received 6 notifications 3 for Me and 3 for my wife). My case has been assigned to Nebraska processing center

Have a question:

I filed my spouses I-765 along with I-485 under the category C26 (spouse of H1B applicant).  I received a rejection notice indicating I did not pay the correct filing fees.  Re-reading the application, I likely should have filed I-765 under category (C9, AOS), no filing fees required.  Should I send the I-765 back under the C9 or shall I keep the C26 category and pay the filing fee?

Thanks for the help!

Found my answer here:

Darn...

For the record.  If filing under AOS and your an H4 spouse of H1B, file under category C9 when filing with I-485.

Lol, for some reason so far all my letters from USCIS have turned up in the mail on a Saturday. Maybe it gives a good chance to ponder on the letter all weekend long
