It is more of a courtesy RFE .

Lol yea indeed. They said it was a good sign since CIS only sent the letter when they consider you are good to move forward with interview!

We are taking the medical with us to the interview.  That way we will do it close to the time it is needed instead of in advance.  They will send an RFE for the I-693 as protocol for the medical, but it does not delay the process and it is not required in advance :).

I wish i would have known that in advance.I guess a lot of people including myself on this occasion did not know at the time of application that not submitting an I-693 will only trigger a courtesy RFE

Frankly its only now i have learnt the difference between an RFIE and RFE on this forum, even though i spent days trolling forums/ blogs before filing. Anyway it is required sooner than later so I hope it won't hurt having included it.

Lol who knows how many more myths are there waiting to be busted

Hey guys, so i got my i-765 application back. they said they rejected it because i used an old version of the form which i didn't think i was since i got it off of the website when i was applying. but when i send it back i don't know if i need to send a check or not since it should be included with the i-130 and i-485 application right?

i'm not sure how to go about this. anyone have any tips?? thank you

Attach a copy of NOA1 for i-485 and mark the i-765 as application with underlying 485 case should be fine.

For people like me it's wise not to include the medical cause we know the waiting time is over a year ahaha

I was going through the October & November 2017 AOS filers thread on VJ and few over there have already have had their interviews done already. So it's likely some of us (hopefully all of us) may experience the same and may be having our interviews in the 5th to 6th month from our filing dates.

Houston like NYC and NJ and MN, has the longest wait time. I hope everyone will get EAD and don't have to renew them. Can't ask for too much haha <_<

Great!!!! That means everything should be good If you had filed the G-1145 Notification of Application then you should receive a text & email saying they received them.
