Hey guys! What do you suggest I do? I have a typo on my NOA (notice date Feb 14). I sent a request to have it corrected as soon as I received the NOA in the mail on Feb 20. On Feb 21, my case tracker says that the request has been completed. However, on Feb 24 I received the bio letter with the typo (because the notice date was on Feb 16, before I sent in the request). So can  I use this bio notice with the typo to have my biometrics taken?

I had my biometrics appointment today!  I was scheduled for 8am, but arrived early in case of traffic.  We walked in to the office at 7:50am and it was empty.  I went straight to the front desk and gave the officer my appointment letter, I was given a number and a clipboard with a personal information sheet to complete whilst I waited for my number to be called.  After a few minutes, the officer called my number and I handed her the completed clipboard.  She then asked to see my ID.  I handed over my passport and marriage certificate.  I must say, I have no idea whether my marriage certificate was required, I took it to show my married name.  The officer stamped my biometrics notice and I was handed back my documents with a number card in my passport and then directed to a different waiting area.  I asked if my husband should wait in the initial area but they were happy for him to join me.  I was called in to an office where all my documents were checked and then handed back to me for me to wait again in the second seating area.  I was immediately called forward to have my photos and fingerprints taken and then complete a satisfaction survey.  All in all it took less than 15 minutes and was a pleasant process.

I noticed afterwards on USPS Informed Delivery a letter was on its way today from USCIS.  We discovered that it was an RFIE for evidence in support of the I-864.  While the sponsor's ability to support me is sufficient and satisfies the requirements, we need to send USCIS a letter from the employer with paystubs.  I hope this doesn't delay the case too much, but it is fairly normal procedure :).

it was an RFIE and not an RFE?

Thank you for the link!  I was aware that it would reset the clock, so to speak, but is always good to have a reminder of the details.

I'm getting RFIE as well, it showed in my case tracker last Friday but I have no idea what it is. I have several guesses though (notarized birth certificate, i864 paystubs, 2017 tax returns & w2). After reading your post I think mine is 80% the same as yours

Anyways based on the posts in VJ and other forum, my observation is most people don't get "reset" by RFIE, they waited from 2 days to 2 months to receive the combo card after responded to the RFIE. However these days it is getting longer for normal processing of combo cards, too.

At least it's always better to get RFE sooner than later! It's not fun when you wait three four months only to receive a RFIE.
