Hi,

I read that both AOS and DS-230 applications have to be sent to this address:

National Visa Center

ATTN: CMR

32 Rochester Avenue

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

What does CMR stand for there?

Also, do the fee bills (both IV and AOS) come with a return envelope? If not, they have to be made payable to the Department of State and sent to

National Visa Center

P.O. Box 790135

St. Louis, MO 63179-0135,

right?

Hi,

I am just starting the entire NVC process tomorrow since I was just assigned a case number from them on friday the 27th. I have put alot of trust into the "JAMES SHORTCUTS" listed here on VJ. He explains things quite well. The thing that I am uncertain of is why does the NVC ask for a IV fee of $335.00 plus the additional $45.00 and if you look under the instructions for IV interview at the consulate, it too says you must bring your IV fee with you to the interview stating the exact same amounts! Can anyone clear this up for me? My hubby will be going to the Delhi, India embassy for his interview. Thanks. :help:

IF GOD IS YOUR CO-PILOT, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG SEAT!

You won't have to pay that amount at the embassy at the time of the interview if you are the choice of agent and pay it ahead of time. If you choose the beneficiary, your husband, to be the choice of agent, then that's when he would have to pay the fee at the consulate. So you won't have to pay it twice, only once depending on who is the choice of agent.
