Haha.. This thread is pretty great.

 

I wanted a 20 person wedding... In the end and a couple of arguments with my mother we had 50 people at the wedding.

 

It really was an amazing day. We rented a house on the water, which we had the wedding at. We had my husbands family stay in the house for the week leading up to the wedding, so the families could meet and get to know one and another. We got married about 20 minutes from where I grew up and my family still lives.

 

I wasn't much into the wedding planning but my husband and I were blown away by all the love shown by our family and friends on that day. I hope everyone on here has just as an amazing experience on their day 

 

We hope to have our families reunite one day for a Holiday and now our families send cards and emails back and forth. It warms my heart how everything worked out <3

We will also wait for jet lag to fade (a bit) and then go fill out papers at the local courthouse. I have a list of people to call to be our witnesses when we have an appointment with the magistrate for the marriage, and hopefully someone will be available: no dress code. Then a restaurant!

 

Then, depending on when this all happens, we'll set up a wedding party for the fam, hopefully on the anniversary of one of our important dates, hard to say how that will work out.

 

We did get rings soon after our engagement; we both wear them.
