Here's my engagment ring

Yes it is the infamous 'Goatse ring' Complete with it's own YTMND page.

For our wedding bands, we have been looking at black titanium I think I really like this one!

My fiance now husband bought me a yellow gold engagement ring. But he asked me what is my preferences about any kind of ring so I answered him that I prefer yellow gold because it contrast my brown color

We have gone with yellow engagement rings his and her both with the same diamond carat weight, the wedding rings are white gold also both with the same diamond carat weight, her in the traditional design and mine the diamond are smallerand distritbuted around the band.

I didn't google, but I remember what the whole [ha-excuse the pun] Goatse thing was-just one question, did you just like the design and the Goatse thing was a coincidence incidental to that? or did you choose specifically because of the Goatse connection?Sorry-just had to ask.

I like the black titanium.

Our wedding bands are wide carved white gold.

I prefer white gold over yellow.

i figured out what it was prior to googling - think : what the ring actually look like and corrolate it to the TMI queen!

My fiance and I actually went to the jeweler's to pick out a ring for me. We were going to go for a sapphire, but after a lot of discussion we went with a Canadian diamond set in platinum. We would've gone with white gold, but the goldsmith told us that he could basically do a platinum setting for the same price as a white gold setting.

We're trying to find a titanium or tungsten engagement band for him, but so far all the designs we've seen have been bleh.

Jonny and I really started talking because of another internet meme (The O RLY owl). We are both internet geeks at heart and let's face it, goatse became just another internet meme. (as disgusting as it is) so from time to time you come across pictures in the media that slightly resemble... that... and everyone says OMG GOATSE HAHAHAHAHA. In the beginning of our relationship we saw an article on a blog about the 'goatse ring' and he told me, man if I believed in marriage, I would so give that as an engagement ring!' one year later I'm wearin a goatse ring yeah, my engagement ring is an internet meme, just like what brought us together

If it's gross for me, the TMI Queen, then I would NOT recomend it. you can safely (?) read about it on wikipedia, there are no images and it uses clinical terms, the first paragraph is all you need if you are THAT curious. I still don't recomend it!

Wow, so omG what a leap from the ORLY bird to an engagement ring modeled after a man stretching out his butthole.

I thought it was a very pretty ring, KC...but I can't look at it anymore, lol

Ok...I'll try to go back to the topic here and say that my engagement ring is yellow gold with 5 round diamonds. It's gorgeous, although I've always preferred white gold.

Platinum

Nice taste KK (& Lisa). Me too - he bought it in London but it's a German designer. My wedding band is platinum too. I prefer the weight of platinum!
