orly mags? mine has 10 small diamonds across. its tiny and petite and i love it! :star:

I love mine also. Was only interested in a plain white gold one at first then saw this and thought "Oh I love it!". Goes nicely with my engagement ring too (which was also nice and petite! ). I'll dig out a pic, if I can find it!

I just bought my fiancee the engagement ring. I bought an traditional yellow gold. But I have noticed more and more lady's fingers with a white gold engagement ring. Just curious.

I personally like yellow gold, by my wife requested while gold. So white gold we have. Take a look at the color of the jewelry that your fiancé wears or better yet ask her for her preference.

I'm a white gold girl too :) The thing that sold my now husband and I on my engagement ring though, was not the band as much as the center stone. It is tanzanite.

My husband's band is made of tungsten carbide.

White metal (whether gold or platinum) is very trendy right now. Yellow gold seemed to be the fashion when my parents married 30 years ago.

Mine is a small diamond solitaire set in white gold. C. might get a titanium band (his job would be rough on a ring), and I'll probably get a band in white gold with no stones (oddly, harder to find that you'd think.) I like diamond wedding bands on other people but not so much on me.

This reminds me of the Sex and the City episode where Carrie sees her engagement ring and it's yellow gold and she thinks she can't marry the guy because of it. Moral of the story, the ladies don't like the yellow gold too much, do we?

Moral of the story: Carrie's a twit. :)

More seriously, there does seem to have been a pretty strong fashion shift. Nothing wrong with yellow gold tradition-wise, but most everything else -- earrings, bracelets, necklaces -- is trending white metal, now.

She'll probably love it either way. I didn't say yes 'cause of the ring, you know? (C. wouldn't let me see it till I said yes, because he's a goofball.)

Oh...adding...ironically enough, I love yellow gold for everything else, but not for an engagement ring

Nah she made the right choice...that ring was nasty, lol...Aiden needed to take his granola azz elsewhere :)

i have white gold but i prefer platinum.

i don't have a solitaire like most... its a white gold band with 10 smaller white diamonds in a straight line in the band. if my fiance can't afford a 2 carat solitaire i don't want it. lol but i love what i have! jewelry isn't really important to me. i'd rather have a house, holidays, etc. than a big diamond.

its a bit turned around in this photo, usually you can't see the band, just diamonds if you look down. and the flash is seriously distorting it but here it is:

platinum

if not platinum, white gold. then anything but yellow gold. but that's just me.

I'd rather have silver than yellow gold. Ick.

me too  I don't like the look of yellow gold, especially on me.

add me to the list. I prefer silver or white gold jewelry, when I wear jewelry. My engagement ring has two small splashes of yellow gold in it, but not so much to be yucky.

My husband's wedding band is a simple white gold band (different from marriage #1, so he was happy) to match my white gold band with 12 small diamond insets.

My engagement ring is sterling silver with a very nice blue topaz. However, I am wearing my late mother's rings and they are yellow gold. Joel is wearing the wedding band his late father gave to his mother. It's more of a sentimental thing for us. Probably on one of our wedding anniversaries we'll get something different. Here's our rings :)34980013.jpg

They're very nice! Colored stones and heirlooms are great for wedding jewelry.

abdounjen, I really like your ring. Is that your engagement ring, or are you trying on your wedding band early? ;) It's very striking.
