administrative process for misrepresentation

please I need advice. my spouse visa was approved after interview but after 4 days I received an email asking me to explain and document use of different name and birth date on previous non-immigrant application visa years back. In the form ds 260 I ticked yes and explained reasons for previous misrepresentation. They said without this information  my visa cannot be issued and that my identity needs to be verified.

    IS it your spouse that used a different name or you ?   Was the name included in the "other names used" section ?

Please i also need serious advice, i make a mistake of writing my husband first name and dob year wrong on my last non immigrant visa but was given 5 year visa. Now i hv a upcoming immigrant

interview  this feb . Will it affect my chances of getting approve. Will they refer on the non immigrant visa Pls advice

Just be straight forward and tell them what happened.
