Have no idea how they work. I didn't even try to find a job, just waiting to get EAD.

If you try finding a job without EAD, how you are going to interpret with the company ?without having work authorization will they even intend to provide you an offer?

I just explained my immigration status to them in my resume. So it is up to them. Eventually I was extended a job offer like a New Year present. :jest:

There have been numerous successful expedition based on job offers on VJ here. I am one of them. :jest:

BUT, I am still waiting for my EAD: while my case was expedited, I am still in a long queue to be processed. After 1.5 months of getting the job offer in writing! :dead: The joy of having the gift turned slowly into misery in January and February. :bonk:

So I am not sure if trying to get a job offer is a good move, given the psychological torture I am having...

I talked with tier2 , he said your case is within processing time which is today updated to September 1.

Every body says they call tier2 to check their case ,what's number u guys call ?

You can call uscis customer care number 1800 375 5283

Enter yourdetails ,(for MSC you can enter 672 on dialpad) talk with representative and ask them to make you talk with a tier 2 immigration officer. (No guarantee they will do)

What i guess is whoever having noa1 date as September 18 is stuck with the process.

You can find your local congressman and contact them to help with your case.

Use the above link, put your zip and find out who is yourcongressman.

Are you sure you didn't receive any mail (usps) for your biometrics appointment? Did you change your address?

They sent me a notification for biometrics date and location through usps mail.

Its shocking to know that as a September filer you haven't had your biometrics done yet.

NBC is working on October filers now for EAD  and AP. But I guess it just does not matter if they do not work on OUR cases.

I talked with tier2 today after seeing the processing dates, he looked at my cases( all three petitions for work,ap, aos) informed me like your background verification took little more time and Assured me that I might get a response in this weekend for EAD.

No idea how true he was with that assurance.

Wow, that is great news! I never got anything from them on the phone as clear and precise as this.

I saw that you came on K-1, which required all background checks using an immigrant visa's standards. Now they are doing more background checks for what? (Unless you filed your AOS years after your marriage?) It seems that K-1 and B-1 visa holders would go through similar background verification, even though we just had one when we got the K-1.

Anyway, fingers crossed for you!

Yeah i came here using k1, married within 3 months, applied for aos before k1 expires, before the visa interview we had to wait for a long time for uscis and nvc approval(probably first background verification done here),  then pcc and medicals in home country . They are conducting background check for the second time, might be because of current administration's extreme vetting method allows them to do it again. (Just guessing)

Lets see what happens for us.
