Good Morning VJ,

my wife and I need some help about our 221g and we will be really grateful if someone can help or explain this to us,

we have these questions which are worrying us:

our 221g says

1.Temporarily refused under the INA

2. It says please keep this original paper(221g). You must have it to be admitted for your next appointment

3. The Co says I will hear from them soon and he didn’t ask for any additional documents but i later found out that my original divorce certificate wasn’t given to me and he didn’t say to me that our case is been sent back to USCIS

can some one please explain these to us

thanks

From experience 221g means General backgrounds checks on your file and nobody can tell you what the checks are only the us consulate knows and since they said you will hear from them I will suggest you send them a nice email after couple of weeks or a month just to check on your case status , the consulate respond most to emails than  calls, and good luck

You welcome and from experience if you living in Accra they might pay you a visit to investigate from your neighbors but that’s only if they took directions to your house, besides that just keep spending time with your spouse and keep gathering more evidence as well. The truth hurts but 221g is a big hole for us applicants specially from a third world with high visa fraud rate but most applicant come out of it and some get their files return to uscis for NOIR/NOID. But in all things God is the greatest

@zabrinma my spouse is getting me back to the states cos of work and we stay in touch throughout the day with whatsapp and whatsapp call and video, we try to spend time when she can get some time off from work and as you know she got rent and car bills so it hard for her to leave the states for long, now am here and she is there, I don’t have problem if they want to investigate cos I got nothing to hide and they know from our photos and the evidence of relationship that we are real and truth he didn’t say any thing about our marriage and didn’t say any thing negative to me , he was but more concern about my daughter although he didn’t know how close my daughter is with her step mom if videos were allow he would have seen it by as you said from third world with visa fraud it is normal they do they checks and soon they will find out that we are what we say we are and God is king.well I don’t know if our case will be return to uscis or they will just do their investigation here as they held my original divorce certificate and photocopies of my birth certificate and my daughter, which country are you and what was your experience if I may ask?

thanks

I thought you from Ghana as I was looking on Ghana forum but like you said nothing to worry about it’s just Better you carry on with your daily life and leave the rest to them as they will get back to you ASAP when they are ready and also one last advice keep checking your emails and post box once a while cause basically they don’t do phone calls but rather emails and post , my experience was 221g as well but we all have different circumstances and it varies, so all the best my brother God is in control
