Anyone out there get their interview date letter yet for Seattle Field office within 2 months before March 2017 or a couple months after March 2017. Just curious almost 11 months for my wife sitting in limbo in that dreaded In Line for Interview status. Thank you in advance in getting some status information for same time frame we have been stuck in for 11 months  Our application accepted 3/7/17, and put In Line For Interview on 4/17 /17.

We filed in July but have a friend from January - they are still waiting for an interview.

Just looking for some feedback.  I checked the processing times chart today, 1/29/2018 and they updated.  They are now processing N400 applications for interview as of January 19, 2017.  Our application was accepted on 3/7/2017,  any ideas or good guesses on maybe how much longer we will remain in limbo before our Interview date letter  will be coming????  Again the Processing times chart shows processing cases as of January 19, 2017 and they received our application on March 7, 2017.  Open to any and all guesses, lol.   Again, this is the Seattle Field Office we are working with.   Many thanks.   Ron

Went in to the Seattle Field Office last week. They guessed that I might be processed around August - they guessed at a 13 month processing time. If that's true, I'd put my money on April for you.

Thank you for the information, really helps.  Wow, been in limbo for such a long time.  Just dont seem possible they make you wait that long for a 15 minute interview.  Anyways thank you again and good luck with your journey.    Ron

Would just like to let you know today finally we have been updated to interview has been scheduled. We filed 3/7/17. Almost exactly 11 months from the date they received our application.  Got the email and text today Friday, 2/2/2018.  Good luck to you.   Ron

Just to let people know just received email and text today that our interview has been scheduled.  Applied 3/7/17, and received the update today, 2/2/2018, 5 days short of 11 months of waiting.  Also just an FYI, the processing times chart shows the Seattle field office is processing N-400's as of January 19, 2017.  So maybe their Processing Times Chart are not very accurate.  Wish us luck.

Good luck! The interviews are actually 'nothing' and you will laugh as you leave the office.

I can relate to the frustration of long wait, though, but the end of the journey is close. Take heart.

Wow - Congratulations!!! You are one small step away from the process being over!

Thank you for the update. It gives me hope I won't need another I551 issued at their office :)

Seattle office is one of the few that do the Oath same day if interview is successful. Does anyone know if there are any exceptions to this. Should my wife ask before or after the interview. We would like her not to be scheduled down the road for this

Very anxious to get her U. S. Passport providing if they do the Oath the same day, and if they do will she get her Naturalized Certificate same day or will they mail it.  Anyone that has some answers or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.. Many thanks

Naturalization certificate is given the same day as the oath ceremony.  I would suggest she photocopy the certificate for her own records before applying for the passport (since she has to send the original with the application).  She will get the original certificate back in the mail a day or two after the passport is received.

It may be seen as quite presumptuous of your wife to ask about taking her oath the same day *before* her interview even begins ;)  If I were her, I'd wait until after I was approved.  Best of luck with her interview!
