Hello guys, so we had the interview on Thursday 2/14/18 here in the Atlanta Field Office.  The interview itself lasted about 20 minutes. The officer wasn't forth coming, not a smile at all.  We had our translator with us.  She asked for all of our IDs and asked translator and husband to sign the form (forgot the form's name but pretty much it was just certifying that the translator was fluent in both language and that everything that was to be discussed is to remain confidential). We sat and the interview began. She first asked how we met, I answered the question and told our story.  When it came time to ask my husband questions he unfortunately forgot some dates 😲😮.  My husband was previously married so she asked when he had separated from his previous wife and when was the divorce finalized, he could not remember the exact dates. At the end she asked if we had anything else to give her.  We gave her bank statements, Car insurance info, Apartment Lease, Health insurance info,.  I had copy of taxes that we filed jointly but forgot to give it to her.  But thank God by the next day status had changed to "Card is Being Produced" and on 2/16/19 Status changed to Case has been approved!!!! 😊

2/15/18 Sent Paperwork
2/19/18 As per UPS Package has been delivered.
2/23/18 Check cleared / Text Email Notifications
2/27/18 Received NOA1's
3/2/18 Received Biometrics letter
3/12/18 Biometrics completed...
6/29/18 EAD status changed to "We are producing your card"
7/2/18 Received EAD Approval notice in the mail
7/6/18 Received EAD in mail
1/9/19- found out that as of 1/7/19 interview had been scheduled.
2/14/19- we had interview
2/15/19- Status changed to card being produced
2/16/19- Status changed to Case has been approved

You guys... my case was received on Feb 2nd 2018 at the California office and I don’t have any updates yet. I did receive the extension letters for 12 and 18 months but i am little worried because it looks like most of thr february filers have had their interviews scheduled already. What could it be?

What's your field office? Some of the field offices in CA are among the slowest in the country, others are not. San Diego is much faster than the SF or LA offices, for example.

It is the California office, Laguna niguel  😞. Another thing that worries me is that every time I try to check my case status I get an error. And I am entering the correct receipt nimber

Assuming you're adjusting from a K-1, the California Service Center doesn't do anything; if you're talking about extensions, it's definitely with your local field office now.

And there are 11 USCIS local field offices in California ( see https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/field-office/field-office-state?state=CA&topic_id=1&lang=1125).

Hi. Have you called USCIS to speak with a tier 2 officer? I also think it has been oddly long. My husband was a k1 Los Angeles  just received his green card. Pd was 2/2/18. We had that error message as well until after months it changed to case ready to be scheduled for interview. Still waited a few months, then interview was 1/11/19. Received green card around 2 weeks ago. We never did an infopass appointment, but maybe this will help too.

Thank you! I have called after many tries to get a real person on the phone. When I finally got someone it was a  rude person who couldn’t tell me more than that the case is still within normal processing time and all I can do it wait...

My wife and I just had our AOS Marriage Interview.  The interview went pretty smooth, but at the end of it, the interviewer told us that there is currently an issue with our i129f not being cleared for her to continue with the process.  She said that those in charge of the i129f are supposed to have it copied, then shred the originals, but for some reason it's stuck in that position.  Because of that there is a delay.  The Reason for Continuance states:  "Your is being held for review."  She also mentioned that they may ask for more documents, and they might ask us for another interview (she did say that she doesn't think that will happen).

Has anyone experienced this?  It wasn't exactly clear what she meant, but I got from it that it isn't an issue with us and that we just need them to clear it.  One big issue is my wife needs to go to back to her home country in about a month.  She does have her EAD/AP card, but from what I've read it is no longer valid since we had our interview.

Hey! I had the same issue during my interview. It was explained to me that they didn’t have the correct “copy” of the K1 petition and they had to request it from the service center. It did take us a while to get approved after our interview, but that may be because Baltimore is notorious for taking a few months, rather than because of this issue.

Your wife can definitely travel on her EAD/AP card after your interview. I did and I was completely fine! It doesn’t lose its validity.

Hope this helps, and please hang in there! I got my approval notice today and had the best moment with my wife - we are finally done (for now!).

Thank you!!  So glad to hear from someone who experienced the same thing!  I kept looking and looking about the i129f causing a hold... Do you know how long it took?  Santa Ana in SoCal took about a year (a little over) for us to get our interview after submitting our AOS packet.  I really hope it takes the 2-3 weeks the interviewer said.  My wife needs to be in her home country for 3 months to finish up her schooling.  If they request another interview during that time, it would cause such a big headache...

Strange thing has happened to my status(new site)

On Feb 25th it changed to "Fingerprint review was completed" and then for some reason I got another notification on Feb 27th with the same status

Not it shows:

"Fingerprint review was completed" Feb 27

"Fingerprint review was completed" Feb 25

"Fingerprint fee was received" Feb 2

I had my interview last Friday. It went super well although the officer didn’t approve us on the spot because he was missing my approved I-129F in his files. I offered to give a copy of mine but he said he needed the one from uscis. Soooo while they’re figuring it out, we’re just waiting. How frustrating. He said it should take 2 weeks maximum to hear from them and that “nothing is guaranteed until he has the full file to review”... As if we didn’t wait long enough. Whatever.

Our status now say we are ready to schedule interview and will send you a notice. I think I saw someone else post this. It could still be a pretty long time correct? I'm based out of Houston.
