I'm just curious for anyone who has already had their interview. I need to get a copy of my husbands insurance which I've been added onto. We are with AmeriBen through his work. I've just called them to get the paperwork as we haven't got anything in writing regarding our insurance but they only send out a letter that basically has my name my husbands name start date etc it doesn't go into detail about the policy and what we are entitled too. Will this be a problem at the interview? Can I just take the short version which is proof that we have joint insurance or do they need to see more details like me being a beneficiary?

You also can go online and it should have the full policy and sections where you are lised as "spouse". Can print all those out.

Congratulation!!! I did interview on july 26. The interview was very smooth. The IO was so nice and she told us to expect our green card within 120 days in the mail. Me and my son son still waiting and our case status didnt change. It still says"interview schedueled". I am confused why it didnt change till now. Does your case status immediately change after the interview?

Hiii.... Yes i checked my case status shortly after the interview. Maybe about an hour later. And it had updated to "card is being produced." I guess it's normal for the card to take a couple months to reach you?? Sometimes they don't update the case status.  So that isn't always accurate. I've seen ppl that didn't get any change in their case status but their cards/ letters show up in their mailboxes.

Hopefully you will get your card soon. 😊

Hi everyone,

I need your advice. My interview date is september 25th and i am trying to collect all the paperwork to bring with me to the interview.I read everywhere that i should bring a copy of i-485 and i-130 with me to the interview just in case. However, my lawyer keeps telling me that I dont need to bring any copies of those forms. She is refusing to give me the copies and I am just upset and nervaous about it.I dont understand why she is being so stubborn. Can you please enlighten me about this? do I still need to bring a copy of i-485 and i-130? is it a big problem if i dont?

if it is way past the normal processing time, write to your congressman/Congresswoman, senator.  if it is still within the waiting time then unfortunately they can't help you.  You just need to wait little more.

Anyone in SoCal get their interviews yet?  We're currently waiting for Santa Ana.  Our status is at the "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" point... States updated on March, but got the notification not too long ago (last week or two weeks ago).  Should I be expecting a notification soon?  My wife is leaving the country and won't be back until mid November (using her EAD).

I got my interview letter and it's scheduled for the 10th October. As for supporting documents I don't really have anything additional to send them as nothing has really changed since I sent in the pack (I sent in joint bank, joint lease etc). The only things I can provide is our new apartment lease contract, joint medical insurance through my husbands work, pictures from our wedding and with family and a receipt showing my husband starting my phone contract. Do you think this will suffice? I'm not on any utilities as I'm not working yet and I don't drive so I'm not on his car insurance. We did adopt a puppy but they could only put the paperwork in one name so it was put in mine but it has our home address on there could that be used? Also vet bills which are in just my name also for the same reason with our address on there? Any advice would be appreciated.

Working or not, I would get your name on at least a couple of your utilities.  Your not working shouldn't stop you from being on there.  I put Monica on our Electric bill, needed it to put her on the checking.
