Yesterday I received notifications for EADs ( mine and kids') that say "New card is being produced", my question is currently how long it takes to receive them?

Interview at the Detroit office for AOS from K1 visa to the 2 year green card.  Arrived 30 minutes earlier. Were were called shortly after our appt time. 

I had 2 3” binders with all of our paperwork. One with all originals and one for us to follow along.  Sworn in and the questions began. About 35 minutes later it was over. Only took longer because the officer took her time rewording questions so my wife understood. Copies made of drivers license and passport and SS cars and we were walking out. 

Officer told us she would try to have our case wrapped up by the end of the week. Received the email and text 20 minutes later that her green card is in production. She passed and is getting her two year green card. We have a year and a half to rest before starting up the removal of conditions process. 

Process was straight forward but very in depth.

Can you share what was 'in depth' about it?  Was it the questions they asked? (examples?)... And congratulations!

Seemed to be asking from a list. Asked about any involvement in crimes. 

Involvement in any terrorist organization. 

human trafficking. 

Any previous visas or coming to America.

Yes, they ask all of the questions that are on the I485 to make sure that you answer the same in person as you did on the form.  It is just the Yes/No questions.

Hey everyone...

 

What kind of evidence (if any) do we need to take to the interview?? My husband just got his social security card yesterday.  I tried to add him to EVERYTHING with no luck. 

 

Bank only accepts utilities or phone bill or DL. Our phones are on a family plan and they said we would have to open a new act to put it in his name.  

He's not on the lease cuz he didn't have a social at the time we moved. And the utilities are paid thru the apt so i can't add him on that. 

He won't have his DL in time. 

 

Our interview is on Aug 27.

 

We have no proof that our lives are meshed together. 

 

Are these things needed at the interview??? All i have is a wedding album and our marriage certificate.

bank info showing her on my checking and savings account. Only needed social security card and passport to add her 

insurance info showing she is on my health insurance and beneficiary on accounts

12 months worth of check stubs 

letter from employer 

photos of social media posts

copies of text messages

You may want to speak with another person at the bank. The social security number is the big thing. The passport and visa are both two valid government identifications banks accept. If they won’t advise them you will be closing your account and taking your business to a different bank. Be polite but be firm. I added my wife in about 15 minutes.

We(K1 and K2) have another update on EAD status: "We mailed your new card for i-765..." I hope cards arrive soon.

No other updates for i-485... 😞

And... me again 😊

Today I received mailed approvals(k1+k2) for i-130 and i-765, it is mentioned that we should receive in separate letters the combo cards. So waiting continues...

Also there was a separate envelope from local USCIS office stating date for Interview - 29th of August.
