We received my wife’s EAD/AP combo card yesterday 7/9/2018. Adjust from a K1. Today we got the text notification the interview is scheduled and the letter will be sent with the date of the interview.

This is awesome news.

It does pose a question. My wife is flying out this Friday to visit with family as she is currently pregnant so now is about the only time she can go before she is too far along to travel. If the initial date is while she is gone can we reschedule the interview and if so how? And does this negatively impact our interview?

It is usually about a month out.  The question is how long is she going to be gone.  It would be best if you did not have to reschedule, to get it done ASAP.  I'm not sure if there is an impact, but as @A&H2018 said, it could bury your app under others.

I have another question for those who have gone with their interview, it says in the letter to bring the I864 unless submitted.

We have submitted it along with the application of AOS, should we bring another set of copies.

Thanks in advance.

When did you get married?  Had you already filed your 2017 taxes when you sent in you AOS?  I would say, bring a copy of the I-864 and have a copy of your 2017 Taxes as well, they may not want it, but always better to be prepared.  If you have a copy of the I-485 packet that you sent, bring that along.  Bring all evidence that you have a real marriage.  Any joint accounts, insurance, utility bills in both names.  And as always, pictures.  Pictures with family and friends.  Pictures of the wedding/reception.  Important to be relaxed.

Good Morning,

For those that have received their combo card. How long from the notification till you actually receive it. I know it says within 30 days but is it sooner?

Based on my experience it took a week for me to receive the card. Got approved on June 27 and received the card July 5.

I just checked my case status on my 485 and it updated to case is ready to be scheduled for interview. How long did you all wait for until you got a letter in the mail with your interview date? Thanks! Also did any of you get the EAD without any case updates, we’ve been waiting on that as well. Thanks!

Hi!

It depends on your local field office processing time.

For me my case has been ready to be scheduled for an interview since March 21, and it just changed last week to interview has been scheduled (July 3) my field office is in San Diego where it takes up to 11 months waiting for the interview schedule.

I got another "no new update and we are still processing your application" email this morning and when I checked my status it says EAD card is being produced.

I have a feeling that every time they touch your application, you get that email.   I got 3 of these in one month so I doubt it is an automated  inactivity message.  Best to check your status when you get those messages.  Frustrating that although I signed up for text and email alerts , I am not getting any of them.
