For those with the user defined error, go on https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant and you will be able to track your case. I had the user defined error as well on my uscis app and on the online case tracker from uscis. I then tracked it on my uscis account and it worked.

I don’t think the user defined error doesn’t mean interview letter for everybody... So let’s keep being patient here... (I am soooo over it already) Good luck to everybody :)

Just saw this post.  I follow both the DHS (the one you posted) and the case status sites.  The case status site lists an update to our i485, but when clicked on nothing shows (just a title with blank information).  Both i131 and i765 are still listed as being received (Feb 3).  The DHS site shows all three as being received on Feb 3, without any indication of any updates or anything... :(

We've tried to use this, had the User-Defined Error as well, and when we log in, even today, it still shows "We received your case" even though we have an interview scheduled for 2 weeks from today.  So, I don't think this tracker is any more accurate for those with the User-Defined Error either.

Oh it’s the same for me. I didn’t say it was more accurate. It shows a later received date (Feb 13th) than the actual one (Feb 3rd) which is kinda f*cked up LOL but at least it shows something, for me... So I thought it could help somebody.

That’s so weird! Did you call them?

Thanks for the heads up!  I noticed you're in Coto de Caza.  I work in RSM and live in Irvine hahaha!  Did you also apply for the i131 and i765?  Were you able to see any updates with those?  Thanks again!

I am actually in San Clemente now! But we’re so close :)

I applied for AP and EAD as well yes but no update. It only says received on Feb 3rd... Sometimes people get approved and the tracker changes, sometimes no... I am not sure there’s anything to worry about here. In doubt, I would just call them and make sure everything is on track for you?

That’s so weird. I think our cases are at the Santa Ana office and I looked on USCIS for their processing times and it said something like 10-14 months.. so we have some time ahead of us! Let me know if you hear anything and I will do the same

I've tried calling them multiple times, only for them to never call back.  Since my wife has difficulty speaking English, I would need to get approval from here (she would have to be next to me).  The only time I can call them is after 4 which is when they always say, "We would have to call you back".  I've called twice during the day about a month or two ago, but the conversations never went anywhere and no information was gained... The only option is to wait for us... But I'm happy to know that there are others near me who are in the same situation.  I guess it's just an issue with the local OC office having a lot to do, or just being lazy about them... The case status site does state that it was updated on 3/27, and another member who has the same status did mention that they were put into a pile that is to be checked for the possibility of an interview, so I'm hoping that's where we are now.  I also haven't checked the mail since Thursday, so I'm kind of hoping something is waiting for me (but I highly doubt it haha).

What did your case status change to?

I hope so for you too. I hope everyday when the mailman comes by lol

I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery so I will probably know beforehand. You should sign up too.

Anyone filing in NC? I'm really curious to see what the times are like for interview scheduling here. I know there is a list of offices and times but it's just not accurate.

No, I never bothered to call them.  I know what their wait times can be like, and knowing about needing to be transferred to Tier 2/Technical Support for this issue, I didn't want to bother waiting on the phone.  Believe me, it's still a complete surprise that we have an interview so soon.  This weekend I put our stack of papers in order for the interview and it's pretty massive.  It's probably overkill but I want to make sure there are no issues or questions about our relationship and will be able to pull out plenty of proof.

Our received date also shows February 13th but that doesn't even match up with any of our actual dates.  It was delivered on February 7 and the check was cashed on February 15 so I'm not sure where they came up with February 13.  Maybe they enter cases into their system in batches and it defaults to the entry date in their system as the received date, I don't know.

Happy New Month folks! May this new month bring us tons of good news about our documents! And to those of us with the notorious “user- defined error(s),” may we receive our interview notices and may our interviews be a success story!:)

Hi everyone, just wanna check with you who have had your biometric appointments completed if you had the same stamp like this being chopped on your NOA during the appointment? Do you have the same number being put on both “Biometrics QA Reviewed By” and “Tenprints QA Reviewed By”? Thanks

The number is most likely the member of staffs ID number so they know who did the review. That is all.

Guys,
I am about to start filing for AOS and wanted to ask:

My fiance and I are getting married in a church. Do people know/have experience with using their church marriage certificate to file?
Or does USCIS only take something from the courts?

Thanks!

Just wanted to tell you guys. I called USCIS about the user defined error and I got transferred to a tier 2 agent. She told me it wasn’t a big deal and that it is just a problem with their system.

I also asked about processing times for EAD... and she told me that now it’s 6 months processing time... #killmenow
