I'm telling you folks! It has to be the most beautiful day today! Blue skies, 72 deg, gentle breeze and the birds are singing! Man, it just doesn't get any better! I love spring in the mid-west!

Send it here, please!! I'd love some rain. We are having a horrible drought here in s. Florida. It's been months since we've seen any significant rainfall here. And people really aren't paying heed to the water restrictions. :blink:

it was sunny in lil rhody this morning, now it's got cloudy, looks like it may rain, at least it is in the mid 60's, plus I have my lovely dunkin donuts coffee, mmmmmm :D

5/10/08 - Received RI Driver's License!

11/10/08 - Removing Conditions - Sent package out!

11/19/08 - Received Notice of Action - 1 year extension on my current green card - now waiting for biometrics letter.

11/28/08 - Received biometrics letter.

12/12/08 - Biometrics appointment - 10am.

01/13/09 - Still waiting............

06/08/09 - Card in production and on it's way!

06/22/09 - Received 10 Year Green Card! YAY!!

hehe, I followed all day on here on the day you were arriving in the United States, Gary was soooooo excited and worried you hadn't called from the airport.

Life can't get any better!!! Luz and Robin are settled in and they both say they love it in America! This is what I have been dreaming of for three years now and it is better than I could have ever hoped for!!!

Glad all is going well. Nice day here in the DC region, +22c, would be nice if the humidity stayed away, but that will soon creep in!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Beeeyoootifullll day in the Blue Ridge Mountains here too, gary!

I was able to finally plant some bulbs and seeds and get some long-overdue weeding done.

Give it a month and everything will look so purdyyyyyyy :thumbs:

03/29/2007 Got letter from USCIS to provide evidence that our marriage is bona fide

04/02/2007 Sent to USCIS lots of evidence

05/03/2007 I have an unofficial "PETITION APPROVED" ...waiting for confirmation from Consulate

05/07/2007 Received email from USCIS ROME confirming that our petition was approved (why Rome? because we complained to the District Office Rome about the Sub-Office Frankfurt..it took too long for our petition to be approved)...now waiting for the interview letter from the Consulate

05/18/2007 E-mail from IV Frankfurt, our interview was scheduled for May 29th

05/19/2007 Packet 4 in the mail: ja ja ja interview letter

05/29/2007 Interview at 7.30 a.m. APPROVED Thank you, God!

06/01/2007 Visa arrived !

06/03/2007 Mayday on the plane POE Cincinnati

Living in Maryland

06/21/2007 Welcome Notice from USCIS

06/29/2007 Applied for SSN at the local Office

07/07/2007 Green Card arrived

07/09/2007 Another 2 Welcome Letters from USCIS...God, they really love me! :D

07/20/2007 Social Security Card arrived

01/18/2009 PCS-ing to Stuttgart Germany

Feb 2009 Received letter from VSC to start removing conditions.

I live in S.West Florida and if we have water restrictions, no one has told me about it! Then again, I live in a condo so maybe that has something to do with it.

Nice weather in Louisiana too. But my AC is acting up so it's kind of warm inside. My brother repairs ACs for a living, I will be calling him tomorrow because it is about to get alot warmer real soon.
