Hi, hoping someone can make some light or any info they might have on my issue . So Nvc sent the k1 petition to the wrong embassy after we sent an official request to USCIS in August 3 months before the k1 was approved by them. Nvc didn’t notice any changes obviously and sent the letter to my fiancé olds home in the USA with a case number etc on it and they issued me a paris case number . I have emailed Paris embassy who replied super quick saying to ask London for the transfer and they will send it. I emailed London the 12th Jan they replied the 23rd Jan saying “we have received your email and will respond more fully once we have looked into your request , etc” does anyone know how long this process takes as our noa2 expires March 22 and London seem to be impossible at replying or even doing anything for some reason

The expiration of your NOA 2 is not a problem. You take a new letter of intent from the American to the interview. Change of embassy can take a couple of months simply because you've got to wait on somebody at London to request, France to respond and send, then London to notify you they got it so you can begin the visa application. Nobody is going to act as fast as you want them to. :sigh:

So I am curious why did you originally request that it go to France? Did you live there?

Yeah, unfortunately changes like that and even address changes don't have a good track record.

One thing I do recall from somebody else who did this...you will still use the FRA case number already assigned instead of getting a new LND case number, even though it will be in London.

well thats good news at least. I don't mind waiting but id just like London to be a little more responsive to emails as they tend to take over 14 days to reply which is kinda crazy. And the sad thing is I have all the documents ready for the interview from my fiancé already. So im just sat here hopeless and waiting for some form of response. Paris have been good at replying. I was tempted to go back to Paris and do it all there but as they take your passport off you if you're successful I don't wanna be stranded in Paris for two or three weeks waiting

Between your email and their response, their entire giant building packed up, moved, and unpacked in the new embassy building. It's unfortunately just bad luck timing for you to get something done quickly.

Then you can start your preparing for the K1 London instructions. Even if you don't get a letter from London, you can carry on https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Get your police certificate, health summary, and shots sorted first before picking a medical date. Sometimes GP offices won't help with what you need for weeks.

I have my police records, they are good until august 2018. I have my GP summary print out they gave me at the dr office and I have my vaccine reports. I cant get hold of the flu shot or tetanus booster as its out of stock so ill let knightsbridge give me the shots needed for that as I cant find them anywhere in the Wirral. But it says transactions needed. I have a French police record which I can translate myself as I lived there for 15 years and there isn't many words on it but its easy for me to translate . I did that and signed it saying I herby state this document is an official translate etc. Do I need to get it actually done by an professional?

Typically it is done by someone other than the applicant. They do not have to be a paid professional translator. They need to add that statement of being fluent in English and French and certify it is an accurate translation.

Re: other question: There is an electronic version as well with scans from your original paper petition.
