Hello,

New to this process. K1 visa was approved and send to NVC. We have our case and invoice number. I received a letter stating to prepare for the visa interview. I'm trying to figure out the step. We have to complete the DS160. When will I received the information needed/notification. I keep reading about package 3 and 4. I do have a lawyer, the parelegal confirmed that we had to complete the DS160 online but insist on waiting on a notification from the Embassy. Can we schedule the medical exams, obtain his police report prior to having an interview date?

I'm confused.

Anyone who went throught the K1 visa interview in dakar. Definetly would like my fiancee to be fully prepare for the interview. Can you provide/share information or reviews.

Thank you

If you receive a case number, you can proceed in submitting your DS160 so you can schedule an interview date afterwards.  As for the Philippines, you can't schedule a medical exam without an interview date and it should be done a week or two prior to your interview.  You can obtain a police report without prior interview date and mention it is for Visa Purposes.  I don't know if it differs in your country.

Senegal

You won't receive any notification from them. It took us 3 months to realize that their website is not updated. I sent multiple email with no answer. When they finally responded to me, they sent me multiple document with what to do. You will have to "schedule your appointment online at www.usvisa-info.com. You will need to pay the US  $265.00 k-1 visa fee and the 200FCFA (timbre fiscal) fee to the SGBS bank in senegal"  This is from one of the form they sent me. It seems like those fees are actually paid at ecobank instead of SGBS. However after you paid those fees, they will show you the available dates for the interview. If you have not done it yet. Email them so they can tell you what you need. Hopefully they respond quicker than they did with me.

My fiancé went to Dakar to pay for his interview and was told he could do nothing until he got a letter from the embassy. They told him I couldn’t pay online or do anything because they don’t trust American money. We don’t know what to do now. I got my approval letter end of January and I’ve emailed the embassy but just get a generic email response. Can anyone tell me how to get the interview without getting this mysterious letter he’s never received?
