My fiance entered the US  09/19/17 on a K-1 visa.  We married on 10/20/17. ( within the 90 days required)   I was low on funds and just today was ready to pay the 1,200 to file the I-485.  I think I made a huge mistake!! It states that I was to file within 90 days of the marriage. Will they accept my application?

According to various reports here, you are okay to file and should be accepted as everyone else.

There is no time limit for filing AOS.....but it is advisable to do so as soon as possible since (1). The person receives authorized stay status when AOS is filed.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You do not have to file within 90 days, you have to get married within 90 days of arrival. There is no time limit on filing the AOS. However it is advised you do it as soon as possible because after the 90 days, the beneficiary is technically considered "out of status". Filing the AOS gives them legal status while they wait.

Does anyone know if we have to have a 2nd medical exam I-693. She had her a few months ago in Japan to obtain the K-1 visa.  

This information is on the I-693 instructions.  

 

What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and already had a medical examination overseas? If you were admitted as a: A. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e); or B. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen; and C. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then: (1) You are not required to have another medical examination as long as you file your Form I-485 within one year of an overseas medical examination; and (a) The panel physician did not find a class A medical condition during your overseas examination; or (b) The panel physician did find a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility, and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver.

2016.08.18 - Received NOA1 I-797C via USPS

2016.09.21 - Received NOA2 via Txt Message (35 days)

2016.09.26 - Received NOA2 Hard copy via USPS

2016.10.06 - Received Case number from NVC

2016.10.12 - Case in Transit from NVC to BKK Embassy

2016.10.15 - Case Received by Consulate

2016.10.19 - Status changed from Transit to Ready

2016.10.20 - Packet 3 Sent to Consulate via Post

2016.10.25 - Packet 4 received from Consulate (Interview scheduled 11/15/16)

2016.11.02 - Medical Exam completed

2016.11.15 - Visa Approved!! (90 Days)

2016.11.17 - Visa received via Thai Post

2016.11.30 - Arrived in the USA!! POE: Chicago
